Most Americans believe their democracy is poised to crumble – poll
More than two out of three Americans – 67% – believe their country’s democracy is on the verge of collapse, according to a Quinnipiac University poll published on Wednesday. The number represents a nine-point increase since the question was previously asked in January.
Concern for the future of US democracy is something voters from both parties can agree upon, with 72% of registered Democrats and 70% of registered Republicans, as well as 69% of independents, reporting they were worried about its imminent demise. Meanwhile, over three quarters of women are concerned about the country’s future as a democracy, while just 58% of men are, and whites are more likely to fear collapse than blacks, if only by one percentage point (70% vs. 69%).
The poll was not the first to note the American voting public’s concern about the survival of its government, which is technically a constitutional republic rather than a true democracy. An NBC News poll conducted last week suggested just over one in five (21%) voters rank threats to democracy as their primary concern, with the high cost of living and the economic recession as runners-up.

IMO, Bitem and the 'Rats are laying the foundation for destroying Donald Trump and canceling the November elections! Gen. Flynn suggested the possibility recently of the 'Rats canceling the upcoming election. With the groundwork being laid tonight they can develop their strategy, perhaps their only hope of holding on to (tyrannical) power. This smells strongly of Chinese influence!

Exactly, and, as you say, Trump couldn't be forced. The idea is idiotic. Pence may have been one of the few popular governors willing to take a chance running with Trump in 2016, but he also played an important role in "sanitizing" DJT for Evangelicals and probably many southerners and midwesterners as well. It was only later he showed his true colors.
I actually tied to listen to this discussion, just to see what some people are interested in ... but found all the speakers a waste of time.
President Trump has shown he is going to play hardball, even more than before ... but I think his suggestion of overturning the election is purely rhetorical. He knows he won't get back in until January 20,2025.
I believe Pence is the Deep State's 'insurance policy', and that even Nancy Pelosi didn't even know about his role until the SOTU speech (wherein Trump and his wife took the gloves off and let their true opinions of the assembled traitors show on their faces) and Pelosi was recorded (without her awareness of the camera) on video saying to Pence anxiously "Well, we were NEVER going to impeach YOU."
I definitely believe Trump was forced to take on Pence - there's no way, given Pence's actions and resume, that Trump would ever choose him. Throughout his tenure as VP, Pence has gone from sleeper to active insurrectionist. Recall the last image of a Trump rally in which Pence's name was not on the board along with Trump's.
Trump will not wait for Jan 2025 because there will be no free election determining who takes office January 20, 2025 if he doesn't expose the treason permeating our government and cleans house. No one else is in a position to do that except Donaldus Maximus.
