An Arizona Wendy's worker is facing assault charges after he sucker-punched a 67-year-old customer in the head after he complained about his order.
Surveillance video shows the moment Antoine Kendrick, 35, comes out from behind the register and punches the customer, knocking him unconscious. The elderly man then falls to the ground.
Kendrick looks at the victim as he lies on the ground before then walking behind the counter, grabbing a few items and walking away.
Police claim the victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The alleged assault occurred on July 26 at the Wendy's in Prescott Valley.
The unsuspecting customer was licking his frosty when Kendrick came from behind the counter and punched him in the head.
Police told AZ Family the man hit his head and was knocked unconscious as he fell to the ground. The victim was life-flighted to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Kendrick was arrested and charged with one count of aggravated assault.
Other restaurant patrons described the vicious hit as 'horrible' and 'pretty hard.'
'That was a pretty hard hit. That was a Mike Tyson hit,' one witness claimed.
'The customer didn't touch him, so he had no right to touch the customer, period, end of story. I just think that's horrible and wish it didn't happen. It puts a bad light on our entire society.'

No more complicated than that.
Can we reserve “elderly” for at least 70 YO?
“Maybe he issued a racial slur.” Maybe he didn’t. Maybe he was just standing there. Maybe his comment that angered the Wendys worker was justified. I don’t know as I wasn’t there. Neither were you. So on what do you base your supposition?
Not only assaulted but tampering with your food a possibility.
LOL, I was thinking along those lines. I’m 67 and don’t think elderly. Give me a few years.
Or 72 lol.
Waiting for the 24/7 outrage by the liberal media......
Oh my. How usual.
“Fast food is a business model built around people with weak impulse control so it’s inherently dangerous on a lot of levels.”
Wow!
If Obama had a son… who worked at Wendy’s.
No impulse control with these people.
antoine, i asked for extra pickles, why so niggardly with the pickles?
Do I need to look?....................
Wendy’s better start writing some BIG CHECKS to pay for this guy’s medical bills for the rest of his life, assuming he lives.
If he doesn’t, even bigger checks to his heirs...................
It's gotten to the point that, unless the black person is wearing a business suit, or a stethoscope, or a uniform, or is carrying a cello, you're better off just avoiding any proximity to blacks at all.
I'm starting to see the wisdom of apartheid.
Well, it may have evolved to that, but take a look at some of the episodes of “The Foods that Built America”. Fast food is a perfect example of American entrepreneurs filling a market need. Honestly, I think you’ll find it fascinating.
I suppose you don’t go to Walmart either do you
FYI
A quarter pounder or a Wendy’s burger contain all the food groups for a balanced meal. If Folks like you ate the Quarter pounder, you wouldn’t need to take six of those freeze dried veggie/fruit pills every day
Yeah, seconded! Just gimme two more weeks before I hit that boundry...
I live nearby this Wendy’s and the locals here state the 67 year old customer from Dewey complained about the food and called the employee the N-word. But this is not an excuse to attack the customer.

Can you give us a cite? What “locals”? The perp’s relatives? Actual witnesses?
It’s obviously now “racist” to complain about anything that a black person does or says. Matter of fact, just reading this article is “racist”.
