Earlier today I did a Bing search for the "Wisconsin Capital occupation of 2011." The FIRST article returned in the search was from some obscure site called "Payday Report," written by Mike Elk on the 10th anniversary of the event. This is how he begins: "It was an exciting affair, and as a young 24-year-old cub labor reporter still learning the ropes of the beat, I was fortunate to be one of a handful of national reporters who was on the ground to reporting the inspiring events of the Capitol Occupation."

So, an "objective" search of this event brings forth a glowing report - from an obscure, highly-biased source - by a man who felt like a participant in the events. This is how search engines have been tweaked to promote a leftist view of events.

These tyrannical eggheads need to be careful about what they wish for. So far, most AI applications are not returning the results these cretins want, the latest example being Meta's chatbot saying unhappy things about Mark Zuckerberg. Their digital slaves may have a mind of their own, or at least enough of a 'mind' to not work the way their creators want.

It's funny -- there are so many sci-fi stories based on this premise. But tech developments in the last decade do make one wonder.

I still have a working Xenix system with an implementation of System V UUCP and the UUMAP project for doing source routing of messaging. The seismo machine is long gone as a central hub, so someone would have to pick up the duties for routing.

Seriously, setting up networking isn't that hard. We can hold onto good TCP/IP networking. Look up Freifunk in Germany. OLSR and AODV mesh networking on a metropolitan scale. Add some long distance trunking between cities and you're in business.
