Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man who with NOT in the counsel of the UNGODLY.
good start
I was there. Believe me it’s not easy and does just “go away. But here’s the thing… do you want to get better? Meaning, are you tired of feeling like this?
If so, then get ready to do some work. This what I did when I was severely depressed, heavily drinking and later suicidal.
#1–read God’s Word daily. Get a good study Bible and start in the gospels. This is important for the next part as you need absolute truth.
#2– Cognitive therapy… it works! The book “the new mood therapy “. Read it and start working on it. This will take some time to get better but you must do this as well every day.
#3– a 30 minute brisk walk twice daily.
Remember, depression can be lifelong but if you stick to this you’ll start feeling better in a few months. There is no quick cure…sorry.
If it’s caused by the political situation, try staying off media for a while. Disconnect from the world and do what you like that has a physical component. Go sober for a bit.
Good luck, depression/anxiety got me by the tail once and it was hard to make it let me go. My daughter had cancer at 19 but guess what? That was 18 years ago and she has been cancer free.
Things can get better.
REMEMBER THE ALAMO!
You’re a patriot my friend, otherwise,
you wouldn’t be posting your desperation.
WE ALL FEEL THIS WAY!
We will never give up
We will never give in
Hold the line.
Will he be more effective than when he called Hillary to the Hill?
My wife hates Trump. Refused to let me talk politics around her. Today she registered Republican. She is so fired up! I asked her who she was snd shat she done with my wife!
Who are you...and what have you done with my wife? LOL
Alcohol is no ones friend and it sounds like you could use a friend.
That is a very wise and insightful thing you wrote. Thanx for posting it.

A few things I learned by quitting alcohol:
Drinking doesn't help get you through depressing times. Alcohol is what makes them depressing. Each day without alcohol is better than the one before because you just keep feeling better and better.
The guilt goes away and is replaced by self-respect and pride.
You realize that you were a drug addict (alcohol is a drug)...and that your health will return (really! brain plasticity is real).
Being in control is wonderful. Being drunk is embarrassing.
It's a lot easier to quit drinking than you think it is. It does take work, but it is the most rewarding work you have ever done.
It is one of the most loving things you can do for your family.
The urge to drink will eventually go away and you will find life is manageable after all. In fact, life becomes fun again even if you can't remember it ever being fun.
There is life--real life--after getting sober. Life is still trouble, but sobriety feels so good that you don't care.
You will find that sobriety brings wisdom that never-drinkers don't have. That's what happens when you fight a battle (sobriety) and win. The fight/victory has a wisdom attached to it.
And many others that see the same evidence are hopeful because they realize it is God’s plan - He is in control, the time is soon - hang in there.
If you were liberal I’d say go for it.
When I first met my wife, many years ago, she thought she was a leftist. Always voted democrat. Now she is a fire-breathing MAGA right-wing conservative. Loves Trump. It took a few months, but she was open to re-education.
I imagine there are millions of such cases in this country.
Good advice
“It’s time to surrender it all to Jesus Christ. “
He warned us that this and far worse is coming our way. We can only find our strength in HIM.
This will bring the peace that surpasses all understanding.

If we didn’t have Trump, we’d be in a hurt.
But we DO have Trump!!
He has not given up.. he is getting stronger than ever. Your anger, mixed with the rest of us and our frustrations.. we are stronger than we were...
As hard as its been, by going thru the past 2 years, many more have waked up from comfort, and got angry also.
We are united.. they are in panic mode..
The unequal justice.. the constant harassment.. works on our fairness gene.
But I do believe this has hit Trump’s endurance on trying... I believe when he gets back in, he will dissolve the f b I and clean up the dregs and the mess.
No hesitation.. it will be swift.
And lastly.. I believe God chose Trump to save this nation.. because He knew Trump could withstand what was going to follow.
Its a spiritual war... evil wanting control and the good people not gonna let it happen.
Hang in there.. we are coming to a better than ever.
Yep, switch off the news. That comes before all the rest. The depression feeds on bad news. The wolf you feed, gets stronger.

Medication is likely to add a problem or two, rather than fix existing ones.
A new hobby, a new friend, a new path. A reset. We are all creatures of habit and sometimes you need to change your habits, so deep are the grooves in the old ones, it’s hard to see out, to climb out of them. Before you fall into them each morning, take some time to dig a new path.
At youtube there are prayer videos, gentle voices reading the scriptures, passages about hope or healing or fighting anxiety. They run in long loops and can be 8 hours long. Put one on before you go to bed.
Set aside half an hour every day for exercise...walking, swimming, yoga...for 30 min a day, be some kind of health nut.
Habits feed off each other too. If you smoke, start smoking only while doing something else that you can easily give up later. For instance, only smoke in one room that you rarely enter, while playing solitaire or doing crossword puzzles. After a while your brain associates them. Then one day you don’t go in that room. Nail it shut if you must, to make it less accessible. If you’re not in there playing cards, you probably won’t crave smokes. Do something else instead. And in a few days, your smoking habit lets go of you.
If politics is making you crazy, avoid it. There are more interesting things to be crazy about, anyway.
You probably live in a community. Go out and explore it. Meet your neighbors. Check out local activities.
The great reset begins with the individual. Change self first, then the world.
