Clu Gulager, a prominent actor in television and film since the late 1950s, has passed away at the age of 93.
The talented star had roles in a total of 165 IMDB projects during the course of his career, with his last role starring in Quentin Tarantino's 2019 film, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.

They were probably promoting the TV western, “The Virginian,” because Doug McClure co-starred in the show and Clu Gulager also joined the cast.
I have no idea what “Return of the Living Dead” movie was, but I remember him from TV westerns Wagon Train and The Virginian.

Come to think of it, you’re probably right - there’s a good-sized rodeo in the same town that brought in a celeb(s) every year (in fact, I backed the Hager Twins there several years later). I expect they were getting paid to appear at the rodeo while also promoting their show.
