Bugs in pepper. YUK
Germans are easy to raise indoors and in a few short months one will have enough to feed a family of five for long duration.
I’ve often heard that cockroaches will take over the world. Maybe this is a start? I can see some idiot trying to crossbreed to make a bigger food supply and end up being the food.
we will eat the bugs and like it while our rulers enjoy their cake.
It’s has long been past time that we got back in touch and re-learned our basic life and survival skills while getting spiritual prepared. The next decade is going to be one hell’va bumpy ride.
Is this survival skill needed to be used before or after the revolt against the people who have brought the current situation of tyrannical givernment and the predicted shortage of the basic necessities?
Ping.
Yeah don’t. Let’s see how long that lasts. This whole thing about eating bugs is just a way to make people think that they are wrong to eat meat. Meat is not scarce until governments make it scarce. The people who want you to eat bugs don’t want you to live anyway. There’s only supposed to be a sustainable 600 million people on the planet. That means 80% of them have to die. They use the word them not the word us. Them. We are the them that they want to be rid of. First they make food scarce and people become desperate and the they say eat bugs as they eat the steak cooked and served to them by the few of us that they allow to live. Ultimately we are supposed to eliminate ourselves by starvation and disease and by killing each other over an artificially scarce food supply.
Ironically, had I fed this to my children when they were young, I probably would have been brought up on charges...
I have known and accept about the bug parts in our food for years as a side effect of growing and processing food. No big deal.
FYI, for our Judaic friends insects and arthropods (spiders, scorpions) are not kosher. In addition people who have shellfish allergies would probably allergic to bugs as their exoskeletons are made of the same substances as shellfish.
But I still won’t eat the bugs!
Patience, people. Slow down and think this through.
Anybody can do low-impact gardening (as opposed to a full 40-acre spread with livestock).
For example, potatoes are one of the easiest and most nutritious things to grow, even in buckets or plastic bags. Older potatoes with “eyes” are just begging to be planted and they need almost zero care once placed in the ground. Water them and wait for the greens to start dying before you dig them up. That’s it.
Maybe you can’t grow a full feast for 10 people, but you can certainly supplement your caloric intake with a little bit of gardening. And there are oodles of neighbors willing to help and advise a rookie gardener!
