The Blame America First Brigade in action!
On Tiffany Cross's MSNBC show on Saturday morning, Nayyera Haq, a former Obama aide, speaking of the imprisonment in Russia of WNBA player Brittney Griner, said:
"We know the only reason that she was in Russia is because she was not able to make equal pay here in the United States that NBA stars would make. So that points to the disparity in American life."
Cross's one-word response: "terrifying!"
So, according to Haq, it's really the United States, with its unequal pay for men and women, that is responsible for Griner's predicament!

The Soviets are going to do Soviet things...
I hope they hound the woke NBA over equal pay for WNBA players. Make them live up to their woke standards.
then by all means, RAISE YOUR TICKET PRICES!!!
you are obviously under-pricing them...
problem solved.
Yet another reason he should be elected in 2024.
I would be even more enthusiastic about voting for him if I found out he had done a sloppy edit on her passport with whiteout, too...
The WNBA is a tax shelter for the NBA, always has been and always will be! It was never supposed to make money.
There are more women than men. If they supported the WNBA, the men would be the low pay job.
I’m cool with with giving America credit for ‘her’ finally getting the first spanking of ‘her’ life.
The absence of an official Trans Flag flying alongside Old Glory at national events speaks tons about racist white America.
Why can’t anthems be Anthems of the Diverse?
Cross’s one-word response: “terrifying!”
—————————————————————
She’s right. It is terrifying. Terrifying to think that people are actually stupid enough to believe that crap.
The WNBA LOSES money. It only exists because it is funded with excess profits from the NBA (and from the money it gets from China).
There isn't a single WNBA what would be getting a paycheck fo any kind in this country is the WNBA exist on its on the marketplace.
Does anybody watch the WNBA or go to the games?
I thought they were subsidized by the NBA. If they had to get paid off of the gate they would all have second jobs.
Contrary to what some may believe, the NBA is not a male-only league. Women are perfectly entitled to play in the NBA if they are good enough, just as are men. A few have even tried out for teams.
The truth is that the overwhelming majority of people make it female - simply are not good enough to play in the NBA, and therefore can't make the kind of money that NBA players make.
The difference is that a man who is not good enough to play in the NBA does not have the option of playing in the WNBA, while a woman does. In other words, women actually have a greater opportunity than do men - it's just that every woman, like every man, is limited by their ability to play basketball. If they are not good enough, they can't play the NBA.
What do the Russians pay?
So she is in the top 3% of income earners in the U.S. while only working half the year, yet she's FORCED to go to Russia and work extra to make ends meet.
Must be a bitch waking up in a Russian prison after breaking their laws and suddenly realizing you aren’t entitled because you are a liberal druggie, gay, black and a woman.
So true, the WNBA stands for Will Not Build Attendance.
Spot on - the average WNBA salary is about $130.000 / yr, and the highest is in the neighborhood of a quarter million. The *lowest* NBA salary is a bit above a half-million / yr.
So the first woman to make it to the NBA can expect to at least double her salary, and probably get a lot more just from all the “glass ceiling” hype.
But I’m not holding my breath waiting for it to happen.
That is duh poe house fo dem.
Bill sums it up perfectly.
First “she” claimed that she didn’t know how it got in her bag and then she claimed she has a medical perscription.
She has only herself to blame.
