Spot on - the average WNBA salary is about $130.000 / yr, and the highest is in the neighborhood of a quarter million. The *lowest* NBA salary is a bit above a half-million / yr.

So the first woman to make it to the NBA can expect to at least double her salary, and probably get a lot more just from all the “glass ceiling” hype.

But I’m not holding my breath waiting for it to happen.

And it isn't just a matter of size or height like some might claim. Muggsy Bogues had a good NBA career and was only 5'3. Spud Webb was only five foot seven. They're Hall of Fame male players who are shorter than a lot of women playing in the WNBA. Isaiah Thomas, Allen Iverson, etc..

Heck, Steph Curry is a multiple NBA champion, routinely made all NBA teams, and may be the best shooter in League history. And he's only 6'2" tall.
