Joe and Susannah Altman are serious poker players. Sometimes, when they play in tournaments, they’ll place what’s called a “Last Longer” bet with friends who see which of them can outlast the others. The pandemic kept the Altmans, both 58, away from the in-person tables for over a year — Susannah has lupus, and at the time, they were caring for a friend with cancer — but they came out of lockdown a little over a year ago, after getting vaccinated, and since then have had some close calls. The Las Vegas couple dined with friends who subsequently tested positive. Joe spent a day with their 25-year-old son, only to have that son be diagnosed with covid 48 hours later. Just last month, Susannah went to lunch with four friends, two of whom tested positive days later.
“Joe and I feel like we’re still in the Last Longer with covid,” Susannah said in a recent phone interview.
She said she figures it’s only a matter of time before she gets knocked out. That’s the way the game goes.
“At some point,” she says, “there’s only one person left.”
There are no winners in a pandemic. That said, if you’ve made it to the summer of 2022 without yet testing positive for the coronavirus, you might feel entitled to some bragging rights. Who’s still in the game at this point? Not Anthony S. Fauci. Not President Biden, who tested positive this week. Not Denzel Washington, Camila Cabello or Lionel Messi. Not your friend who’s even more cautious than you but who finally caught it last week. Never tested. Never got sick. Never wear a mask. Never curtailed my life--shopping, travel, social.
Never got covid.
the people that claim the vaccines are “safe and effective” also claim men can cut off their junk and convert to women...

1st jab in February 2021. 4th jab in April 2022.
5 cruises between Sept 2021 and April 2022.
Hundreds of visits to restaurants, stores, offices since Feb 2021. No covid symptoms, tested negative for all 5 cruises as required, no flu, no fevers, no cough, no colds, no loss of smell.
How long I must wait for the adverse effects from jabs to show up?
But I do not remember seeing you on any Caribbean cruises.
Even if I was healthy, I would not go on a cruise.

Why conclude “super dodger” when describing how people come down
with covid days after being in their presence?
“Vaccinated” “Super Spreader” could equally apply, based on the little
evidence presented above…. ;-)

You vaccine cheerleaders crack me up. You have had no adverse effects. Good for you! A whopping year and a half! Do you know why there are long term vaccine studies? Hmmm? Because many issues do not show up in the first 2,3,4 + years. I hope you are fine, but you might not want to be arrogantly tooting your health horn just yet.

my dad’s prostate cancer was in remission for 25 years...
he was an active, physically in shape 78 year old man that flew his airplane at least once a day everyday, and rode one of his motorcycles everyday...
his cancer came back with a vengeance and has spread to every bone and every organ in his body since he got the shots...
he’s now shriveled up like a raisin in a hospital bed...
i’m watching him die and it’s gonna be any day now...

Our women on both sides of our family are winning this contest.
Basically none of them from age 80 down to 18 have had this any of this crud.
My wife may have had a light omnicrud this past Feb.. or the shortest cold in history. She had the light crud for about 24 hours. I had it for close to 2+ days.
Our DILs haven’t even had a fever, nor have our adult nieces. One niece recently tested positive and doubled up on her baby aspirin and antihistamine. She had whatever less than a day. Her sister and two teen daughters were visiting from out of country and never had any symptoms. Her recently early retired hubby was hammered for over a week. Her 75 year old dad had something light for 2 days.
Another clan of my wife’s has zero women with any crud, and one guy with a mild case of crud or severe allergies.
A female sibling of mine in her early 80’s and her adult daughter haven’t even had a cold or allergies the past few years. Their husbands had it fairly bad for a few days. My sibling finally admitted that she never was vaccinated.
A granddaughter, who became an RN a year ago and has worked in a Covid unit in a busy hospital hasn’t had a sniffle.
All of these women are in good shape and the married ones, basically, can still fit into their wedding dresses after decades. Besides being the same weight for decades. They are healthy, look healthy and are healthy.
They have never smoked, drink their glass of wine per day and are not diabetic. Most are daily walkers and a couple run. Two have been dance instructors for adults.
A sidebar, just observations. They are big readers and whip through kindle books in a day or two. They are not geniuses, however they are close.
