I was a kid but I remember that was the 1st real push for “Gun Control”. There was a serious attempt to ban “High Powered” rifles. Which was basically anything other than a .22

I don’t know who killed JFK and never will Know, I was 20 when this happened.
What I believe is that Oswald was part of a group of CIA recruits sent to Russia during that period.
After Oswald returned to the US his handler (Angleton) created a “double” for potential future utility.
Look up the recent book “The Kosher Capones”. It includes some discussion of Ruby’s involvement with the Jewish faction of Chicago organized crime, including the real reason why he left Chicago.
He was disillusioned by his experience of Soviet communism, which is why after returning to the US he shifted his “unrequited love” to Cuba.
There are many theories, stories, ect surrounding the killing of JFK. In my mind there is one indisputable fact. The so called prestine magic bullet did not go through any bone of a human body. Every hunter in the world knows this.
There was a ex medical corpsman from I think WWII who during the investigation was given a carcano exactly like Oswalds with the same ammo and shot cadavers a bunch of times. Every single bullet was mangled, as it should be. Quite simply, the bullet on display in Texas, did not go through anything. No way, no how.
Sam Giancana’s book is a good read connects many dots.
I don’t see the Mob as the prime mover. Maybe an eager accomplice.
I read the wiki article on him, not sure what to think.

But I do get the sense that he was a loose cannon and shouldn’t have been in his position.
If it was the deep state it would have to go much further up the food chain. My opinion.
Little tidbit on the “magic bullet” and the Warren Commission Report—we now know (from the latest data dumps) that the Warren Commission “magic bullet” section draft document has handwriting on it from one member of the Commission.
That member moved the bullet location in the report (which was total nonsense anyway) from one part of Kennedy’s body to another part.
This is particularly amusing since that particular member had no medical or law enforcement training and in fact was not known for being particularly intelligent at all.
In my younger days I met this person and in my view he was one of the dumbest people in Washington DC.

Yep, Oswald was pretty good, able to arrange a cover-up after his death, and then cover up the cover-up. No ordinary person can do that.

The Feds would run the cover-up for them. The Feds couldn't afford to have the word get out that the Mob just whacked a sitting president. The Federal government would have unfilled positions all over the country in a matter of weeks and political elections would have no candidates.
