A West Virginia judge was accused of waving a Colt 45 handgun at lawyers in his courtroom during a case over fossil fuel royalties where he mocked the defense's security team for wearing a 'sissy-a** purse' and carrying smaller guns than him.
Attorney Lauren Varnado filed a report to the FBI against Circuit Court Judge David Hummel Jr., who oversaw sees cases in New Martinsville, after he allegedly pointed a gun at her and her team on March 12.
Varnado - who represented the EQT Production Company against landowners suing over the royalty payments from fossil fuels extraction on their land - claimed Hummel began mocking her for having a security team following her around, according to her sworn statement provided to DailyMail.com.
'Aren't me and my guns and security enough,' Hummel allegedly asked the lawyer as he took out his Colt 45 pistol and pointed it at her and her team. 'My guns are bigger than your security's guns!'
The judge, who Varnado and her team accused of having a conflict of interest in the case given his ties to gas companies acquired by EQT, also ridiculed the defense's security team, according to court records.
'I got this man here carrying a man purse, which I make fun of him every damn day for wearing such a sissy-a** contraption,' he allegedly said, referring to a bag one of the security members was holding.
'And I hear he has blood coagulant,' he reportedly added. 'I have blood coagulant up here too, and I've got lots of guns. Like, bigger ones too.'

Exactly how does the FBI have any authority in the judges courtroom during a trial? Asking for a friend. You should tell your friend to join Free Republic so they can ask their own questions.

Plaintiff sounds like a crybaby girl. Betting the judge merely showed the gun and didn’t point it at her.

It would seem that this is more an issue for the states judicial review board.
