Boarding Schools: The Answer to Abortion?

Posted on 07/07/2022 8:11:30 AM PDT by DIRTYSECRET

It's just a thought. No article on the subject(surprising). The public schools are a failure. The boarding schools would be success on day one when you consider abortion was the alternative.

A young teenager could work while getting her life together and be there to take the kid(s) on the weekends, maybe even go to school for lunch to keep in touch. The rest of the support system would be local. Retired-I could offer a ride to/from school or to the doctor. Maybe walk around the hallways in a Smokey-the-Bear hat" showing they're all safe, sheep-dog-like. We care" is a leftist lie. We can put our efforts where our mouth is. At some point the government will have to reprioritize where our taxes are spent to help out. A grass roots beginning just might bring the life issue to a head. It would be awesome.

A black co-worker from a previous life told me that he sent his two teenaged sons to a Christian boarding school in Ghana. It cost him $2000 each in tuition plus about that much more in airfare and room and board.

He told me it was the best money he ever spent. His boys came home grateful, polite and willing to work, totally divorced from the 'hood culture.

No parents. Living with equally foolish peers. Run by unaccountable non-relatives in a postmodern era.

What could go wrong.

Safe Heaven is for dumping kids at a fire station. I’m talking about keeping the mom in touch with their offspring. Someone would have to raise the infant until old enough for school. There could come a time when the mom could handle motherhood better. We’d all be better off. The left would would not be able to handle it.

Religion based support is now legal thanks to W.

Can you explain further? I’m missing something. Boarding schools have their positive features. But what do boarding schools have to do with the abortion issue? I think I missed the point. Thanks.

I actually have thought about this too. Private charities that provide housing, pre and post natal care, and job training for mothers as needed. They could keep or choose to have their child adopted.

Dilbert-The issue is to find a way to help girls keep their babies. Show there is a caring alternative.

About 88% of the women getting abortions are in their 20’s or older. Less than 10% are in their teens or younger. You going to send adults back to school?

In the 1930s, 40s, 50, and 60s young Catholic girls often became pregnant in the New York Metropolitan area. In those days come their 5th month or so, they were sent to live in a Catholic boarding school run by nuns near Bennington, Vermont. They were almost always required to give up their babies to childless Catholic couples. Many sad, touching, often tragic but sometimes remarkable stories. Yet there are thousands alive today and their descendants because the Catholic social structure however imperfect preserved life. As a sidebar the fathers of those babies were often strongly encouraged to join the military and leave the community for a long time. Just the way it was. It was unthinkable in those days to kill innocent pre born human life.

If you want your kids to do lots of drugs, drink excessively, and have lots of sex with lots of people, send them to a boarding school. Otherwise, keep them at home.

You’re rot paying attention.

You're talking about sending them to boarding school. Kind of hard to miss.

*the fathers of those babies were often strongly encouraged to join the military and leave the community for a long time.*

Now you're not paying attention. The fathers of roughly 90% of all women getting an abortion would be men in their 20's or 30's or 40's or older. How do you 'strongly encourage' them to join the military?

Your plan is to take pregnant women and force them into a government facility, God only knows on what authority, until they have their baby and then turn them loose. It's a 19th Century plan for the 21st Century.
