Cherelle Griner has been working to get her wife out of jail since she was taken into custody in February after being arrested for allegedly having cannabis oil. She was charged with 'large scale transportation of drugs' and could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
Cherelle said there was 'no way possible' her wife could have done that. She also revealed that the Biden Administration originally told her they would 'handle [Brittney's arrest] behind the scenes' and to 'stay quiet.'
'I did that, and respectfully, we're over 140 days at this point, that does not work,' she told CBS Mornings on Tuesday. 'I will not be quiet anymore, I will find that balance between harm versus help and push our government to do everything that's possible.'

Well, now that we have legalized homosexual marriage due to the Supreme Court, apparently these 2 are legally married, hence the use of the term “wife”.
I think the term “partner” is used when people are not legally married. And this term is used for both heterosexual and homosexual couples.

Agreed. Why can’t they just say spouse. A wife is the female spouse of a man, a husband the male spouse of a female. It’s hard to believe you have to be so specific. They make up their own genders, let them make up their own labels. I am tired of these people co-opting the language.

If Putin is smart, he'll place a much higher price on Griner, perhaps the easing of sanctions.
If Biden were smart, he'd take the deal since our sanctions against Russia are hurting us more than they're hurting the Russians.
