If this is true, it really was an awful thing. But then by her standards of ethics wasn't the rapist just choosing his own interests over hers in the area of reproductive rights?
To be clear my own position is that rape is just wrong. It can not be justified by a rapist claiming its his reproductive right, even if the rapist has no willing woman to carry his child and thus has no way to reproduce he has to turn to rape, I still think its wrong.
The reason that I think rape wrong enough to be illegal is not because I have no respect for the would-be rapist to want to reproduce or to enjoy the act of sex. Its because there is a victim involved...its not fair to the person raped.
The reason I think abortion should be illegal is not because I have no respect for a woman's desire to not have a child before she is ready for one. Nor a desire to have control over her life or her uterus. Its because there is a victim involved...its not fair to the unborn child aborted.
The only reasonable question to ask about the morality of abortion is whether or not the unborn child is in fact a person who has their own rights. For myself, although I acknowledge that at the moment of conception is when the biological process of life of a particular individual begins and thus in this sense "life begins at conception"...I am not convinced that the life is the moment after conception a person with inalienable rights. On the other hand by the time the child has developed a brain and a heart and is ready to be born, I certainly am convinced they are a person with inalienable rights. Thus I can't see putting the dividing line between when the new life is a person to be protected with the force of the law at either the moment of conception as is the classic pro-life position nor at the moment of birth which is the classic pro-abortion position. I am not entirely sure where such rights ought be recognized under the law. Maybe when brain wave patterns start. But of course unlike what the pro-abortion crowd says about those who are pro-life, I don't think anybody who is pro-life cares about controlling women...just in protecting innocent life. And I don't think that the pro-abortion crowd are really about reproductive rights for all, they are for selective reproductive rights for only women who want an abortion.
Murdering her baby made it all better though.
Then WHY WERE YOU SPREADING YOUR LEGS FOR HIM????? Dumb @#$%.
She'll have babies as long as she has sugar daddies.
maybe she shoulda kept her mouth shut.
if anything for business reasons.
idiot
Ireland Baldwin says she got an abortion because she knows “exactly what it felt like to be born between two people who hated each other” — referring to her parents, actors Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger
Let’s not forget how her father Alec Baldwin hated her as well.

Sure, not everyone who has an abortion loses the ability to conceive or carry a child to term.
But some do, and the risk increases with the number of abortions one undergoes.
Ah shut up and go abort yourself
Exactly. She attempts to circumvent the issue by means of some awkward phrasing ("...without my own financial security..."), but all but the blindest proponents of abortion will see right through her thread-bare arguments.
Her father may have called her a "pig," but at least he didn't "splat" her.
Regards,
“I understand no one would like to have to beg hat in hand to the likes of Alec Baldwin...”
See, even if I grant that, she’s still the child of two celebrities. She could go write a tell all book or go on the talk show circuit and trade on that to acquire her own “financial security”. Unless she already did that and blew all the cash, I guess.
It’s selfish monsters like this that the left hail as “stunning and brave”. Despicable people, this lot.
If I were either of her parents, I would suggest that she write a vapid “tell nothing” book, and buy 20,000 copies.
Wow, amazing to find someone these days with the character and quality of selflessness. It’s rare to find anyone that is NOT not all about themselves. It’s that kind of character that made America great. Bravery, sacrifice, putting others, innocents even, first.
Oh wait. Never mind
Like father, like daughter.
Looks like killing without remorse runs in the family . . .
This just turns my stomach. Can't she hear herself? Our present day culture in a nutshell.
In her case, maybe she thinks so. She seems highly, highly damaged.
She was raped unconsciously....
Kinda changes the consensual part of sex and consequences or outcomes...
She had a consequence over which she had no control...
It’s a sick world when announcing you had an abortion is a badge of honor.
call her and tell her what you think. She’s made it clear she does not care.
