Google opted against highlighting the 78th anniversary of D-Day on its search engine’s “Google Doodle” on Monday, choosing instead to present an animation celebrating the birthday of Angelo Moriondo, the investor of the espresso machine.
“Today’s coffee-stained Google Doodle is in honor of Angelo Moriondo, the Italian innovator who created the espresso machine,” noted 9to5Google of the search engine’s accompanied espresso-themed animation. The Masters of the Universe completely ignored that June 6 is also the anniversary of the D-Day invasion, a pivotal moment of World War II

Like the first day of pride month?
You might be on to something
We are lucky they did ‘t commemorate June 6th as DOS Day.
I see no indication that Angelo Moriondo was gay.
That’s cuz Google is pro-Nazi
This is a good thing. Any connection to Google is a disgrace.
Homo-ism is anything but obscure. It’s everywhere. When you go to the Google home page during homo month - surprise ! There’s even more of it.
I don’t see a June 1st doodle for America this year. Their logo is rainbow anyway, so they wouldn’t need much.
Whatever dude. You’re quite obsessed, and completely wrong. Bye
Google, D-Day, and 6-6-2022 (ie, 6-6-6)...nah, not goin’ there today!
I just ran a search for “screw Google” just because.
FOREIGN CEOs.
To kids in high school today, DDay holds the equivalent that the Charge Up San Juan Hill had for me when I was in school. We knew about it. We understood it’s significance. But to most Americans today it is a “date” on their iPhone. Not much else.
Us old folk need to understand our significance is waning.
I don’t do Google, but it doesn’t surprise me.
That, by Google's way of thinking, makes any celebration suspect.
I'm just telling you the way they think.
But Ukraine gets $40,000 million. Not D Day, but Pay Day.
Why do you even care? Really? I mean you probably have much bigger fish to fry in your life than the Google Doodle. And if you don’t you should celebrate how amazing your life is and STILL not give a crap about the Doodle. I’ll never understand the people who go through life looking for reasons to get mad. It’s frankly pathetic.
This is something of a mountain made out of a mole hill.
I’m not a fan of Google’s corporate governance, but they have NEVER had a “doodle” dedicated to D-Day or ANY other military action.
That’s just not something they have EVER done.
It doesn’t make one bit of difference to me, I ignore ALL of their doodles and statements.
They had a grey ribbon for Memorial Day; but yes, they tend to ignore great Americans if they can.
Nazis, shmazis! Where’s my damned coffee!/s
