Salvador Ramos arrived at Robb Elementary School at 11.30am on Tuesday morning after crashing his truck
A school resource officer at the scene failed to stop him from making his way inside and barricading himself
He locked himself in a fourth grade classroom where he shot dead 19 kids and two of their teachers

Police Waited to Enter Texas School as Shooter Opened Fire: Witnesses
Several witnesses on the scene of the Texas mass shooting said that police waited to enter as videos surfaced of parents telling officers to “Go protect the kids!”
“What are you doing—get inside the building!” a person yelled in one of the videos, while another screamed, “Go protect the kids!”
Law enforcement authorities faced questions Thursday about how much time elapsed before they stormed a classroom in Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, where an 18-year-old gunman opened fire, killing two adults and 19 children on Tuesday.
Investigators were also unable to say with any certainty whether an armed school district security officer outside Robb Elementary in the town of Uvalde exchanged fire with the attacker, Salvador Ramos, when Ramos first arrived on Tuesday.
Texas Department of Public Safety Director Steve McCraw confirmed to news outlets Wednesday that 40 minutes to an hour elapsed from when Ramos opened fire on the school security officer to when the tactical team shot him. Ultimately, officials confirmed that a Border Patrol agent shot and killed Ramos.
“The bottom line is law enforcement was there,” McCraw said. “They did engage immediately. They did contain [Ramos] in the classroom.”
However, several videos that were captured outside the school, apparently as Ramos was inside, including a person saying to an officer: “Half of these [expletive] parents here, dude, they wanna go in there—without vests, without guns—to get their [expletive] kids.”
Javier Cazares, whose daughter Jacklyn was shot and killed during the incident, told news outlets that police were not prepared. “Let’s just rush in because the cops aren’t doing anything like they are supposed to,” he said.
“We didn’t care about us. We wanted to storm the building. We were saying, ‘Let’s go’ because that is how worried we were, and we wanted to get our babies out,” he remarked, according to the Washington Post.
McGraw said Ramos had run down a hallway into two adjoining classrooms and barricaded himself inside. “And that’s where the carnage began,” McCraw remarked, according to reports.
Juan Carranza, 24, who watched the scene from outside a house across the street, said officers should have entered the building sooner. Carranza had watched as Ramos crashed his truck into a ditch outside the school, grabbed his AR-15-style semi-automatic rifle, and shot at two people outside a funeral home, who ran away uninjured.
“There were more of them. There was just one of him,” he said.
Despite the criticism, McGraw defended the response.
“The bottom line is law enforcement was there,” he said. “They did engage immediately. They did contain [Ramos] in the classroom.”
If there are going to be public schools they need to be 100% changed. Looks like a good start.

Maybe someone can clear up a few questions I have:
1. In one report I heard that the shooter was confronted by 3 school officials before entering ... but not stopped. (Instead they called 911??) Who were these people? What’s their story?
2. Where did the kid get the money for the guns & ammo?
3. Why did the car crash?
4. Law enforcement apparently got there very quickly. How did they manage this ... and how did he manage to murder so many in such a short amount of time?
5. Of course, in addition to the ever-present video games, one wonders what psychiatric drugs the murderer was taking/ had taken over a period of time.
I draw NO CONCLUSIONS from any of this. Just wondering.

‘No veterans left behind’: Group of almost 60 veterans deboard plane after one was told he wasn’t able to fly
Onlookers described it as a powerful show of solidarity. A group of nearly 60 U.S. veterans on their way home from Washington, D.C., decided to deboard a plane when one veteran was told he couldn’t fly due to safety concerns.
The group of veterans, all residents of Oklahoma, had just completed a four-day trip to the nation’s capital organized by Northeast Oklahoma Veterans Freedom Tour, a nonprofit dedicated to taking veterans on tours of memorials and monuments all around the country.
According to KOTV-TV, they were seated on a plane in Charlotte, N.C., and ready for take-off back to Tulsa when they learned that one member of their group was unable to fly. His oxygen concentrator had run out of batteries and couldn’t be recharged using the plane’s electrical outlets.
With no way to charge the medical device, American Airlines determined it would be unsafe for the veteran to undertake the flight, per company policies. In the interest of his safety, they informed him that he couldn’t fly.

2. The shooter had a job at a local store. He saved up for the guns and bought them as soon as he turned 18.
4. I think LE got to the school quickly because they were alerted that he’d shot his grandma and shot at two people in front of a funeral home. He was being pursued, crashed, and then ran into the school. He barricaded himself in a classroom ( police say they “contained him” in the classroom ...with little students).
At my school, if a shooter is in the local vicinity, we are notified by police to immediately lock our classroom doors and hide. Even if he’s a few blocks away. So, if the shooter was driving toward a school, police should have notified the school to lock down.

If you do the numbers you’ll note that all seven billion people on the planet could move to Texas and have 4,000 square feet apiece to live on. It’ll be awhile before they get there so it’s not a problem yet.

Tilapia is very easily raised in livestock tanks or ponds and is always listed as a good emergency food source for preppers. Plus, it’s delicious. Damned if I’d ever eat it from China though…they probably raise it in sewage.
