I was an underweight preemie in the early ‘50s and my doctor put me on the Pet milk/Karo syrup “formula.”
A year later I was fat little piggy.

I’d be surprised if she had any actual experience with breast feeding. She obviously doesn’t understand it at all.

I have to admit I keep saying the same thing every time I read an article about the baby formula shortage. “You have breasts!” Like, what did mothers do before baby formula was invented? Let their babies starve?

I believe moms can lose the ability to breast feed if they do not do so.

Most women can produce enough milk for their babies without the need for formula.
But, it can take a lot of time and effort. Plus, once a baby is weaned, the mother might not be able to produce milk again.

Every now and then this harridan pops up for attention. I used to love her in the 80s and 90s. Then she really opened her mouth.
Wet nurses used to be a big thing over a hundred years, ago. The mother wasn’t producing enough milk or she passed in childbirth.
I saw one woman comment she had just adopted, so what now?
Totally out of touch hammerhead.

That won’t work for women who let their milk dry up.
How about opening the formula factory back up and stop sending it to other countries/illegal aliens, instead?

Bette Midler can explain how Mr. Buttigeig and his boyfriend are breast feeding their adopted kidnapped kids.
To: nickcarraway
well, breast feeding is the age old way to take care of babies, except we have forced too many new mothers into having to work, either by circumstances or societal pressure....

Gargoyles like Midler and her alter ego Behar are knee jerk defenders of f (failing) f Joe. The baby milk shortage is a perfect example of the disaster that has befallen America since the stolen election.

Hey Bette, stop being so sexist! Why can’t the MEN breastfeed the babies?

I could be wrong, but I believe that if a new mother doesn't immediately after the birth begin to breast feed or express her milk the capacity to produce it soon ends. Also, some women cannot produce amounts adequate to the child's needs. Wealthy aristocratic women, or women who could not produce any or enough milk, used the services of a Nurse Maid in such situations.

When ordinary citizens are elevated by other ordinary citizens, placed on pedestals, and are paid huge sums for nothing but acting, the former will eventually dictate lifestyles and activities to the latter. Rule - never give dime of hard-earned money to those who pretend to be someone else, even if they are entertaining.

Weren’t mothers who have been vaxxed warned not to breastfeed? Fact checkers?
Not even mentioned in the article.
To: nickcarraway
She’s right. God made moms that way.
