Scott Adams has a unique way of looking at issues. I suspect he’s on the autistic spectrum. But whatever the reason, his sociopolitical predictions have been more accurate over the years than anyone else I can think of.

It was pretty confusing to see this in my paper (Arkansas Democrat-Gazette). They didn’t color the black guy’s skin. He looked like just another white guy.

Years ago my Cuban friend saw he was listed in the records as “Hispanic”. He was furious and went straight to the top to complain. “I’m white” he said, “as white as you!”
They explained to him that they needed to put him down as Hispanic to satisfy their diversity requirements, though they didn’t call it diversity back then. Same exact scenario. He wasn’t happy but there was nothing he could do. Back then not many Hispanics went into engineering. Even now they depend on Venezuelans to fulfill their requirements.

This is not fiction.
I have a friend this happened to.
I will only say they were in a branch of the military, and they were not allowed to identify as white.
I have known them for decades.

A close friend of mine had to tell a half Indian fellow in his department that he needed him to stop identifying as white for his racial bean-counting numbers. The guy was very insulted, having never known his Indian father and was raised exclusively by his white mother.
The guy changed his racial categorization anyway, but he didn't like it.
