Check the pool for alligators.
Carmel is where Clint Eastwood used to be Mayor.
Nice place we stopped at once.
“””The four-bedroom and four-and-a-half-bedroom home sits on a .28 acre lot.””””
A nice view, but a lot of house on a small lot.
Always good to see Californians paying big prices to live in a hellhole.
I think someone bought it for the land value. The house looks dated, something out of the 1960s. They’ll do a tear down and build something more updated.
People bought Ozzie and Harriet Nelson’s home in Laguna Beach after she died and promptly tore it down.
Carmel is a piece of heaven.
Too close to the neighbors for me.
I just checked home prices, in Carmel, there are some fire sales, it appears.
Last one out, turn off the lights and wave back at the ocean.
We live on the ghetto end but its still a nice place.

We did too.......beautiful place
If, by fire sale, you mean 1.7 million for 800 sq ft on a 4000 sq ft lot.
I was unaware Carmel had a ghetto side.
Like real ghetto, or just 1 million dollar homes?
Really big ones.
I was looking at 3,200 sf with an ocean view....for $3.2M.
Where is the ghetto end?
How far from the the ocean are you?
Here’s one, that’s not too bad....

Reminds me of the little beach cottage Liz Taylor lived in, in Sandpiper.
Her Brentwood home is on the market for $10.575 mil and being marketed as a scrape. It’s on 3/4 of an acre. Prospective buyers won’t even be able to go inside the house or view photos. https://www.latimes.com/business/real-estate/story/2022-04-26/betty-whites-brentwood-home-lists-for-10-575-million
We took the kids from SF to Santa Cruz often and many times drove to Carmel and Monterey - it was a beautiful drive both ways. Everyone should do Hwy 1 sometime LA to Mendocino.
I grew up 76-85 in San Jose and we had cousins in LA.
We took Rt.1 more than once, though we usually took Rt.101.
