With Opening Day in the Bronx less than three weeks away, the Yankees are no closer to knowing if they will have their full squad available. The private-sector vaccine mandate that has kept Nets star Kyrie Irving sidelined from games in Brooklyn could stop unvaccinated Yankees and Mets from playing in home games. Tuesday, Mayor Adams said professional athletes would have to wait their turn in the process of emerging from COVID restrictions.
The ticking clock is starting to worry Yankees manager Aaron Boone.
