Are we losing our discernment

Posted on 03/21/2022 12:02:44 PM PDT by standing man

VANITY I am a long time lurker and occasional poster. I consider Free Republic to be one of the most informative sites available, but I find myself confused with the direction of commentary regarding Russia and the Ukriane. The media, the democrats, George Soros, the UN, the World economic forum. ALL either have LIED to us continually for the last four years or are actively involved in planning the destruction of our nation. At the Risk of being called a putinista or putard I have to ask the question. Why do we accept as fact the narrative that we are being fed by the msm? This link is not the hill I am willing to die on but it does present an alternative point of view worth considering https://burningbright.substack.com Stand Tall Brad

a) Even a proven liar will tell the truth when he thinks it's in his interests to do so. They think this will raise the senile pants crapper Biden's abysmal approval ratings, but I think most Americans realize the Ukraine war is just another dumpster fire in addition to the Afghanistan debacle, shortages, and soaring food and fuel costs.

b)What's happening matches centuries of aggressive Russian behavior and is confirmed by many, many sources not just in the US media, who as far as I can see from reading European sources, are getting a distorted and partial view.

Frankly, the establishment here expected the Ukrainians to fold in a few days. The establishment finds their continued resistance an embarrassment and it makes them look like timid deer in the headlights.

It is what it seems to me judging from the posts I read. Them and George Soros, the Renegade Jew from World War II who betrayed his fellow Jews to the Nazis for a share of their belongings. Damn fine company they keep. Personally, any time I am on the same Side of a murdering Rat. I know that I am wrong. But each to their own.

I really like you asking this question , it’s a healthy discussion to have.
I think we are getting disinformation from both sides to some extent .
Is that normal in any war?
Probably .
But to me it’s clear through all the noise this war is totally not needed and innocent Ukrainians are suffering terribly.
And there are very brave Russians who are disgusted with what Putin is doing .

It’s also the tragedy of the road not taken .
Russian could have been the leader after the wall fell by working cooperatively with their neighbors.
They would have achieved much more than than their current state of just being Saudi Arabia

Nope. Putin is a kgb pinko commie. Once a kgb, always a kgb. Go spam your “50% of Ukrainians” and links to Oliver Stone movies all you want. You literally post it everywhere to anybody who criticizes Russia. I served against pinko commies and their kgb thugs. They haven’t changed other than learning to be more patient and letting us destroy ourselves from within.

Russia was one of the 3 Warsaw pact members that voted to leave the USSR. Putin asked to join NATO. On what grounds was he refused? The US and UN guaranteed that NATO would not expand to threaten Russia. Why were those pledges violated? Putin may be a madman but he is fighting madmen who are at least equally deceitful and untrustworthy. This is not black vs white. The criminal cabal of Biden and the Deep State are the main actors in this debacle.

I served against commies as well. Things have changed since 1985. The difference between us is that You have been completely brainwashed by the NWO mockingbird media to think a Russian National who has values similar to America of yesteryear is our enemy, when the real enemies are the Globalists pushing Putin and America into this conflict. The NWO are the Pedophile, satanist, child trafficking elite. They gain by seeing America and Russia destroyed.

This did not happen under Trump.
Why is it happening under Biden?

Wanna bust something up? The best thing we can bust up is the Deep State.

Yep, busting up the Deep State would be the best thing we can do.

I wish I knew how to do that.

It will be harder than busting the nose of Russia.

Aerial refueled and Hawaii and Midway and so forth.

They need to look for the intelligence tipoffs and then start going.

This I agree with.

I’ve not followed Ukraine enough to know much about it. I do like that Russia is building all kinds of churches.

You know already. If it doesn’t bother you being on the same side as Soros, the media, the Globalists, the Derp State, the Sodomarchy, and countless other bad groups, bad guys and bad actors, I don’t think lecturing folks on the immorality of Russia is going to hold water.

To me, Russia is a bigger enemy than Ukraine.

I can't recall ANYONE saying Ukraine was our enemy. That was never the issue. The issue is the distinct possibility that Ukraine has a corrupt government that serves the globalists as a money-laundering mecca and, apparently, an awesome place to research biological warfare. Ukraine appears to be a Deep State puppet, and therefore of no value to real Americans, and certainly not to the extent of participating in war for their benefit.

Ukraine is an ally of Deep State America.

To me, that makes it an enemy.

Not in the traditional WWII sense of Axis vs. Allies enemy.
But in a sense that they would sell us down the river for a buck.

But, the explanations you gave are reason enough to regard them as an enemy to a Constitutional American Society.
