A girl dubbed “Little Miss Nobody” has been identified some 62 years after her burned body was discovered buried in a remote Arizona desert, authorities said.
The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office will identify the girl Tuesday during a press conference at a community college in Prescott.
“The unidentified little girl who won the hearts of Yavapai County in 1960 and who occupied the minds and time of YCSO and partner for 62 years will now rightfully be given her name back and will no longer need to be referred to as Little Miss Nobody,” sheriff officials said in a statement. The girl, believed to be between the ages of 3 and 6, was discovered by a teacher searching for rocks in Sand Creek Wash near Congress in July 1960. She had likely been dead for up to two weeks and her body had been burned, KNXV reported.

I recall reading the suspect died in 2016.
Probably done by her family. At the time, Congress Junction, now called Congress, was just a fly speck. No local recognized her, meaning her family were either transients, from Wickenburg, or local Indians.
We’re going to be in that area on Thursday. Renting a car to go see some friends in Prescott, AZ. We stop at a restaurant in Congress called Nichols West. Very small blip in the road. This is a very sad story.
Should be very nice weather wise in Prescott, mid 70’s
Sunny and a Breeze!
I love this area!
Us too. We stayed in Prescott before COVID with our friends. I’m two years from retiring and would like to snow bird there for 3-4 months after Christmas.
If it's not too much trouble, ping me regarding the eventual announcement of identification, thanks.
Last June I retired and got a place in Prescott and I’m ready to enjoy the Great
State of ARIZONA!!!
GOD WILLING.
Little Miss Nobody should have a name now.

She always had a name. It was just hidden.
With our first grandchild born and being raised two miles from us, no way we’ll move there. If we can get away from the cold for a couple months, I’ll be happy.
Good friend of mine turned us onto a restaurant in Congress called Nichols West. We’ll eat there Thursday on our way to Prescott and again on Saturday on our way back to Phoenix.
The update.
