Ukraine II (vanity)

Found variants of this on two sources on the internet and it is also what seems reasonable:

“Russia claims it will stop the war immediately if Ukraine agrees to:

- cease military action - change constitution to enshrine neutrality - recognize Crimea as Russian territory - recognize the Russian-controlled areas of Donetsk and Luhansk as independent states”

So what is Ukraine’s problem? Accept the reasonable terms and move on. Reject them and face war.

As long as America is sanctioning and demonizing Russia then we are weakening the dollar’s position as the global reserve currency. I want us to be friends with Russia and I want them to be our trading partner. Demonization of Russia does not serve America’s interest.

Sure you will

And of course you use the “if someone else will pay for it” bs excuse

If you were really willing to go risk your life for this a little bit of money to get there would be the least of your concerns.

It is always good to see who is on the same side as Hunter and Joe Biden, Google, Facebook, Obama, the Clintons, James Clapper, the Democrat party, the MSM, Lindsay Graham and others.

We have a winner!

How is that using the gangbanger analogy?

If [Ukraine] have been cutting and popping off gangbangers since 2014, then [they] wouldn’t be surprised when the gangbangers break into [their] house in 2022.
***How has the Ukraine been doing this?

Why not a status quo ante bellum?

That would be equally “reasonable”

Exactly.

That would be the more “fair” and “reasonable”.

Russia also then compensating for the damage and loss of life they caused by this temper tantrum would be even more “fair and reasonable”.

Just curious: Are there any other countries that the Putinistas think would be acceptable for Putin to invade? Could you please name them? Asking in advance. Thanks.

Why not a status quo ante bellum?

Well that would be with Poroshenko in office and before the most obvious coup in the history of coups, engineered by Victoria Nuland and endorsed by Joe Biden.

Yes, parts of the Ukraine are heavily Russian.

What many don’t understand, is that some of them consider themselves Ukranian, not Russian, while others have the opposite view.

I say separate the goats and the sheep, based on desires. This is very similar to Bosnia Herzegovina, and Yugoslavia’s overall breakup. It wasn’t just a matter of ethnicity; it was also based on religious and cultural preference. The Ukraine fighting to get the Eastern Donbass and Crimea back will be a never-ending effort, as the majority of those places’ populations don’t want to be a part.

But again, there are surprisingly many ethnic Russians in the Ukraine who want to remain in the nation called Ukraine.

After the breakup of the Soviet Union, there were simmering resentments along some fringe areas between these nations. Use this time to sort some of it out.

They have been bombing and attacking Donbas since 2014. Wikipedia the war - it didn’t start in 2022.

It’s obviously a ruse agreement Putin regime has no intention of honoring.
***Yup. Just like the Budapest Agreement. They got the Ukes to give up their Nukes. So all it would take is maybe a couple of nuke demos on a Russian tank column still in Russia and Russia will agree to have every last Russian citizen leave the Ukraine, escorted by Uke and UN army personnel to guarantee their safety and also guarantee there is no sabotage.

Then everyone will be happy to sign a new aggressive neutrality agreement wherein Ukraine aint in NATO, aint aligned with Russia, is only aligned with itself and anyone who fuqs with their bull gets their bull’s horns.

They were a nuke country before, they honored the denuke agreement and their reward is 2 Russian invasions and getting sold down the river by us. If I were the Ukes my only ally would be Switzerland.

I get your suspicion, but nobody really knows. I don’t see it as a ruse as much as words to save face for an obvious inability to get the results he thought he’d get on 24 February.

Get the Russia army out, get in on paper, and then see what happens...

Exactly.
NATO, its expansion, Ukraine’s put-in-place “leader”, etc are ALL flirting with having a whole lot of canned sunshine released on the world and millions disappeared/cooked followed by millions more dead from fallout and nuclear winter(s).

Nuclear war sim for your reference.
Is this what they really want?

Okay then. Ukraine for the Ukrainians, Donbas for the Dumbassians. Split the country with the Ukes on one side of a wall and Dumbassians on the other. A UN monitored referendum every decade to decide where the wall should be.
When oil was discovered in that region, it was Ukraine, so all the oil minus, say, 5% will be for the Ukraine.

Russia’s terms are surrender. That’s Ukraine’s problem. Their answer should be: get out of our country, then we’ll talk.

I'm thinking the russian people, and closer to poots, one of his staff, needs to make it happen. One of them will have a notion sooner or later.

From an “America First” point of view I definitely am worried about the loss of reserve currency and the loss of business due to reduced trade with Russia. From other perspectives…morality…religion….I say declare peace and don’t force oil and water together (ie east and west ukraine)

If I were Putin, I wouldn’t agree to it.

Nor would I agree to Status Quo Ante Budapest Agreement.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budapest_Memorandum_on_Security_Assurances
Because Russia abrogated it, Ukraine honored it, and now the USA is looking to say it was “unenforceable, unratified, unbinding. Basically we’re looking to sign the bill of sale after having already sold them down the river.

But if I were Ukraine, I’d be starting my own nuke program with all them nuke experts we got lyin’ around from our 15 nuke power plants and Chernobyl cleanup team and experience giving away nukes.
https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/4044173/posts

And if I were Ukraine & had nukes, Status Quo Ante Budapest, they woulda been quite the deterrent to invasion. Naturally, they don’t have nukes or they’d have said so by now. So it behooves them to ratchet up a nuke program pronto, and to USE them on Russians in Russia. Make the Russians walk home, escorted by UN personnel to guarantee they leave every last piece of equipment behind unmolested.
