I think the US is backing the wrong side in the Ukraine invasion

I have come to believe that the US is backing the wrong side in the Ukrainian invasion, and it is not an accident.

Trump and Putin were the two most powerful nationalistic leaders in the world. They have zero interest in the Great Rest or the New World Order. They are all about their own countries--as they should be. They were chosen to lead their respective country--not as governors for some world leader we may or may not know about (Deep State).

Trump was "defeated" in 2020 at the polls and dismissed from leadership. We all know what happened with that, and there is no need to go into it any more. Biden, the ultimate puppet figurehead is now in place.

As FreeRepublic has already documented, George Soros has spoken his support for Ukraine, and Ukraine itself has spoken the quiet part out loud. This war was a trap for Putin, and he jumped in with both feet.

Putin is currently undergoing his own purge. With this invasion he was forced into, he will lose control of his country and will probably be forced into "retirement." While I was not aware of Ukrainian military abilities, it should be obvious to anyone on this board that Putin SHOULD have been fully aware of what the Ukrainian military can do, and what his own military can do. I can only conclude that he was given false information on both of these topics by his own people, leading to this invasion. It seems to me that Putin now has two options--lose this war, or go big. Both are scary for him and the world.

To our north, Trudeau is playing the puppet very well, so he will continue to "lead" Canada. I think we all know he does not call the shots up there, either.

I believe that I know who *does* call the shows around the world, but that is an opinion for another time.

I understand they don’t want to be under Russian rules, but at the same time, I can’t envision them being under corrupt leadership either. I personally don’t think Russia wants the Ukraine. If they did, they wouldn’t be going out of their way to avoid civilian casualties. They would just start leveling the place like they did Crimera

One point, that is not being made much, is that the nation of Ukraine is further corrupting our government.

As big an army as we have we couldn’t beat the Iraqis either time on your timetable. All the explosions we’ve heard with no shown corresponding battle damage was Ukrainian radar, command and control, air defense and air assets being taken out. This is exactly how we’ve gone about it for twenty years, since GWB began making the Middle East safe for Raytheon.
Regardless of the lame Ukrainian/western disinformation, the Ukrainian military is now blind. Zelenskyy had best get into rapid negotiating mode because shock and awe is the next step.

They both supported the vaccine, so yes, they are pro-reset.

Xi Jinping is more nationalistic than both of them. I could probably find others, too.

[Ukraine is completely corrupt. ]

So is Russia. Except Russia has oil. Gold. Titanium. Natural gas. Platinum. Rhodium. Diamonds. Russia has an African continent’s worth of natural resources, and then some. That’s why it’s better off than Ukraine, not because Putin is some great leader.

Biden publicly has to be a little tough on Russia, but behind the scenes, not so much.

I have a right to be skeptical of Ukraine when Biden, Pelosi, Kerry, and Romney all have children who have made millions off of shady Ukrainian business dealings. I also wonder why no one has cared about what Russia has done in the Caucuses over the past 20+ years. The whole situation stinks and I am not ready to take any side as of yet.

Sometimes you’ve just gotta offend people.

As for Ukraine and Russia, this Ray Stevens song kinda represents what getting involved may mean for the US.

Friend, you have that ass backwards. The corrupt DC strongmen using the Ukraine as a steal as you go bank make the Ukrainian oligarchs look like pikers.

“If anyone on the left is in favor of something, we automatically should take the opposite position no matter how ridiculous it may be.”

What makes you think that his side hasn’t put any thought into it? Because he disagrees with you.?

Personally, because there’s no way for me to REALLY know what’s going on there, I tend to look at how people line up on issues for a starting point. And if my enemies all take one side, I’m going to think real hard before joining them, and on this, there’s plenty of blame to go around on both sides.

> [ Ukraine is completely corrupt. ] So is Russia.

Absolutely true. Corrupt on a much grander scale, indeed.

IMO, all of eastern Europe is a dumpster fire, alternately smoking quietly and raging uncontrollably, never really at peace. It's been that way for many centuries, millennia for that matter, and nothing we can do can fundamentally improve that sad situation.

And again IMO, the Middle East is much the same. They're all crazy, and nothing we can do can fundamentally change that either.

We have so much to do to get our own house in order first. Starting with cleaning out the dumpster fire that is the current administration, and the D.C. swamp that supports it. But that's another rant entirely....

A True Nationalist respects other Nations, Putin does not respect Ukraine as a Nation.

I think from his point of view he believes that he IS respecting a nation, the nation of Russia, which he believes includes Ukraine. He doesn’t see Ukraine as a separate nation, but as a Russian territory. Of course, the same could be said about China’s view of Taiwan, but I would say that China is very nationalistic as well, fiercely so.

Are you Russian or from the U.S.? And if you are going to use the term Deep State, then yes, he is. Why else does he have the backing of Obama, Bush, and others?
