I think the US is backing the wrong side in the Ukraine invasion

I have come to believe that the US is backing the wrong side in the Ukrainian invasion, and it is not an accident.

Trump and Putin were the two most powerful nationalistic leaders in the world. They have zero interest in the Great Rest or the New World Order. They are all about their own countries--as they should be. They were chosen to lead their respective country--not as governors for some world leader we may or may not know about (Deep State).

Trump was "defeated" in 2020 at the polls and dismissed from leadership. We all know what happened with that, and there is no need to go into it any more. Biden, the ultimate puppet figurehead is now in place.

As FreeRepublic has already documented, George Soros has spoken his support for Ukraine, and Ukraine itself has spoken the quiet part out loud. This war was a trap for Putin, and he jumped in with both feet.

Putin is currently undergoing his own purge. With this invasion he was forced into, he will lose control of his country and will probably be forced into "retirement." While I was not aware of Ukrainian military abilities, it should be obvious to anyone on this board that Putin SHOULD have been fully aware of what the Ukrainian military can do, and what his own military can do. I can only conclude that he was given false information on both of these topics by his own people, leading to this invasion. It seems to me that Putin now has two options--lose this war, or go big. Both are scary for him and the world.

To our north, Trudeau is playing the puppet very well, so he will continue to "lead" Canada. I think we all know he does not call the shots up there, either.

I believe that I know who *does* call the shows around the world, but that is an opinion for another time.

Even old softie Mikhail Gorbachev said this back in late Dec 21.

Washington grew “arrogant and self-confident” after the collapse of the Soviet Union, leading to the expansion of the Nato military alliance.

I think the deep state was anticipating this and it going to use it to advance its agenda.

Sides won’t matter much when the increase in oil prices (WTI is up $10 in 5 days) starts to get passed to the pump. $4-5 dollar gas prices for a majority of the country will get everyone’s attention.

WTI at 111.37 16:14 Eastern.

Wait till this works its way to the pump. Going to be lots of surprised people.

Biden CANCELS test of Minuteman III ballistic missiles to 'demonstrate restraint' and avoid angering Putin

What was that you were saying? Which side is the U.S. on?

Look, you are a smart person, but I think it’s time to admit you made a knee jerk, Deep State approved post.

We are now seeing the exact same thing among some self-described conservatives except in reverse. If anyone on the left is in favor of something, we automatically should take the opposite position no matter how ridiculous it may be. And that's how we end up with some "conservatives" rooting for the restoration of the Soviet Union.

I say basically the same thing all the time.

Russia has a lot to blame here too. They kept promising their "Slavic brethren," they would bail them out, but they didn't.

Remember in 1999, when Kosovo was breaking off from Serbia, then NATO started bombing them. Russia promised to bail them out. And they never did. So I imagine there are a lot of Serbians and others who are ready to tell Russia to get bent. They don't have other Slavs backs.

I’m not excusing the Russians. I’m not excusing NATO.

As for the US, this Ray Stevens song speaks to me about us getting involved:

They say weak men cause hard times. Ours are so soft headed they don’t even know who should use which bathroom.

Mexico was perfectly willing to keep those asylum seekers, etc. on its side of the border while Trump was President. It is well-within our own ability to secure that southern border with a wall, etc., if we so chose. But...Biden was elected, so our border is screwed.

That's not Mexico's fault. It's ours.

I personally don't want to begin a shooting war with Russia, but I'm totally fine with non-military embargoes and other actions to isolate and cripple their economy.

See, I was just thinking that last night. The best thing that could happen to our country, AND the people of Mexico, would be if we pulled a Putin and took over Mexico and made it a territory rather than let China come in and take over Mexico. And that is coming very soon. China is going to be at our southern border and be a burr under our saddle just like the Ukraine is to Russia.

It would cure a LOT of their problems, and a LOT of our own problems. It would be a win win for Both. And we ARE ALREADY at war with Mexico. It would help curb the gangs, It would help repair their corrupt government, it would make their economy better, it would make their quality of living better, and if they are happy in Mexico they will stay there which would in turn help our own economy and crime problems...

This is the similar situation Putin is up against.

The idea that 1) we have the right to invade and conquer Mexico, and 2) we’d be better off if we did, are insane.

So we would let China do it instead? Because they are positioning themselves to do this right now through the back door. In fact all of Central America one at a time working towards Mexico as the final prize.

So we're going to invade a neighboring country with whom we are at peace because some other country 8000 away may - someday in the indefinite future - itself invade? That's "Poland attacked us first!" level of excuse-making.

So we are “at peace” with a violent criminal gang ruled corrupt government who’s target victim of choice is the people of the U.S.?

They are already committing acts of war against the U.S., they are already invading us. And the Government of Mexico will not put it check. They never will... This is about the people, not the corrupt politicians who abuse their own.

The whole story and the bigger picture cannot be ignored away. I have talked with many honest moral Mexican citizens, and they themselves would welcome it, if it repaired their country so that they could live there safely instead of having to run from it.

The Mexican army is not attacking us. There are criminal gangs on the border we are perfectly capable of stopping without an all-out invasion of Mexico. Vuild a wall, adequately man it, and that’s it. Problem solved. Our lack of will to do that pretty basic activity doesn’t give us an excuse to conquer the entire country.

So “at peace” we have to build a wall to prevent being invaded by criminals? Like Hadrian had to do to protect himself from the peaceful Picts?

It is just a bandaid that will never cure the true illness.

“The Mexican army is not attacking us.”

No a corrupt government who is owned by the criminal gangs is invading us.

What does Putin have to do with the Taliban? I was talking about the Taliban. and why WE were in Afghanistan.

You spun this to say I support Putin, I do not. Putin is evil, but the Ukraine is absolutely no better. Neither deserve to be supported.

Is there an unwritten law that we absolutely have to support one or the other? No... A logical person would support neither of them.

What I said was that our very own three letter agencies are not so cute and innocent themselves and that is why we were in Afghanistan. And they haven’t been cute and innocent for a very long time.

So a country that isn't willing to build a war to protect its border is instead going to invade and conquer that neighbor????

And what do we do after we conquer Merico?? Because those 80 million Mexicans would then be inside our borders, so how do we prevent them from just coming north into the "rest" of the United States? All you will have done is bring the problems even closer.

But it gets worse, because we will then have the same problems on Mexico's southern border, so we'll then have to go on to Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, etc. We'll have burdened the American taxpayer with supporting 100 million new Third World "subjects.". And we'll not only have publicly crapped on the core principle of self-determination, which is the sole foundation of any government's legitimacy, but bought ourselves a few decades worth of large-scale jungle insurgencies.

At least it won't be your blood being spilled, eh?
