So a country that isn't willing to build a war to protect its border is instead going to invade and conquer that neighbor????

And what do we do after we conquer Merico?? Because those 80 million Mexicans would then be inside our borders, so how do we prevent them from just coming north into the "rest" of the United States? All you will have done is bring the problems even closer.

But it gets worse, because we will then have the same problems on Mexico's southern border, so we'll then have to go on to Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, etc. We'll have burdened the American taxpayer with supporting 100 million new Third World "subjects.". And we'll not only have publicly crapped on the core principle of self-determination, which is the sole foundation of any government's legitimacy, but bought ourselves a few decades worth of large-scale jungle insurgencies.

At least it won't be your blood being spilled, eh?

I have stated for over 40 years that if the people of Mexico rose up against their own corrupt government I would immediately volunteer to go help fight. I would still be willing to do this right now.

It would not be the first time the U.S. has gone to war for humanitarian reasons. And we have policed territories yet still restricted immigration from those territories. And after we “thought” they were fixed (could have been but we handled it wrong) we then gave them back to the people.
