The Q research threads are about the only reason I still hang around. Same here. Also, most of the people here are a little nicer than those in the main forum.
This guy called Coach Red Pill that lives in the Ukraine seems to have the best take on what is taking place.
Very simply: Putin said early on give us some assurances that the Ukraine will not Join NATO. The US refused. Giving Ukrainian to NATO is basically giving up the Black sea to NATO and the Russians believe that is a massive security risk.

1. US official story. Full invasion and the Russians are getting slaughtered.
2. Russians official story there are tactical missions taking place. That can mean some limited troops and aircraft.
