A kindergarten class had a homework assignment to find out something exciting and relate it to the class the next day.
When the time came to present what they'd found, the first little boy the teacher called on walked up to the front of the class, and with a piece of chalk, made a small white dot on the blackboard and sat back down.
Puzzled, the teacher asked him what it was.
'It's a period,' he replied.
'I can see that,' said the teacher, 'but what is so exciting about a period?'
'Darned if I know,' chirped the little boy ... 'but this morning my sister was missing one, my mother fainted, my dad had a heart attack, and the boy next door joined the Navy.

Speaking of miners...
A guy walked into a bar, sat down, and drank a few beers. Eventually, nature took its course, and he went into the men’s room.
When he came back out, he said to the bartender, “I just saw the weirdest thing. There was a black guy in there with a white p***s.”
The bartender replied, “Oh that was Kowalski the coal miner. He just got back from his honeymoon.”

Probably won't stay long, it all gets to me more than is healthy. From Oct. ‘20 until about a month ago I quit all media. No news, no opinion, no forums, no new movies, TV, no radio, you name it.
All I knew was who was inaugurated, and that Rush and Alex Trebek died. Also, kept up on bare minimum covid news. Just stats.
It was really good to be out of the mix but the air was still thick with injustice and oppression.
What I missed is what I expected, what we all expected. Man, it's dire. Glad I'm in a position to be left alone. Hope I can maintain that.
Leftism is base evil. Hate those SOBs more than I can express.
I had the same misundertanding with cigarette machines which were always in the entrance lobby of restaurants. They always said “Minors are forbidden to operate this machine.”
My son (1st grade?) was out in the yard with the next door neighbor girl playing. Her older brother came along and they got in an argument and the brother called her “pyscho!”
My son came to the defense of the girl and said “Oh yeah - well, you’re garbage!!”
My wife told our son that it wasn’t okay to call him garbage.
“Well - he called her ‘recycle’!”
(First grade environmental indoctrination was going strong at the time.)

Cute stories. My daughter thought we were saying Farmer John cheese instead of Parmigiana. When she was learning to read, she read ‘liver and bacon’ on the cat food can.
She pronounced it bah-con, rhyming it with baton. So, whenever we’re feeling fancy, 25 years later we all say it that way.
