When you are awake, you stand on the outside of the stable (‘group-think’ collective), and have ‘free thought’.
"Free thought" is a philosophical viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma.
When you are awake, you are able to clearly see.
The choice is yours, and yours alone.
Trust and put faith in yourself.

The farmer did too. I’m thinking 78 or 79. To protest Carter’s grain embargo. I live close enough to I-70 in Columbus to see it. It was 8 hours or so of tractors, combines and trucks. I was in 4th or 5th grade.

Dog slide. I have been trying to stay out of slides since they upset a few people so badly but I have to do this one.
I have two old dogs. They are going on 15. I picked both up off the side of a highway when they were 6-weeks old. They are sisters and littermates.
One of them was diagnosed with bladder cancer 6-months ago. She has been taking a cancer tumor reducing drug during that time. It was working fine until two days ago. For the last two days she hasn’t greeted me in the morning with a bark and wagging tail and she is only eating about half of what I put out for her. She is VERY thin. The doctor said to watch for passing blood, but she hasn’t done that. Still, there has been an obvious change for the worst in the last two days. She doesn’t act like she’s in pain but most times they hide that.
We have an appointment today at 3:30 to see her doctor and decide if it’s time to let her go. This is my third old dog I had to help cross the bridge in five years and the second in two years. I hate this part.

I’m sorry Tenn. It is the hardest part of owning a dog. Although I know you will feel the loss I also know you don’t want your dear friend to suffer. I have another aging dog also so empathize. Hugs.

Thank you! I have a Vet I trust to tell me the truth. If it isn’t time, I will gladly bring her home and keep cooking her chicken & rice. I do not want to let her go too long and cause suffering. I have five dogs. She is one of my three rescues.
