Getting reports that after hundreds protested against school mask mandates yesterday, today, @OakdaleJUSD barricaded any student not properly wearing a mask in the gym and refused to turn on the heat. Police were called for a wellness check and police turned on the heat.

Why are those tables in front of the doors?
Probably to slow them down if they open the doors.
I’m not buying the school’s lame excuse that the tables were just put there temporarily as broken tables where being replaced with functional ones.
What kind of moron blocks the doorway of a room he supposed to be carrying things in and out of. Doesn’t pass the smell test.
They were put there as symbolic or psychological punishment even if the doors open the other direction. It’s still a fire code violation and I bet the Fire Marshal had some words with the superintendent along the lines of “If I get called down here again because of your stupidity, I will issue a fine that will make your eyes bleed.”
It’s impressive how stupid and petty school administrators are these days. I really don’t think reform is possible. It’s a sinking ship.

Trickle down effect. President mandates idiotic rules, governors mandate idiotic rules, mayors mandate idiotic rules....why not school officials?
In truth, it’s 100% illegal and anti-constitutional for governments to mandate health rules. They really don’t have the right.

You can’t block egress, even if it’s just putting a box in front of it. Anyone who thinks otherwise has never dealt with a fire marshal. One fire alarm and that’s where the bodies stack up.
The county Fire Marshall should be going ballistic over this. If I lived there, I’d be hammering his office over what he’s doing about the idiots over at the high school.

Isn’t this a form of torture? How about locking some administrators in an unheated building. Just so they can see how it feels.
