KYRIE IRVING OF THE BROOKLYN NETS
After all the back and forth, and Kyrie sitting out half the season, it appears the Nets can simply pay $5K per game to allow Kyrie to play in home games in Brooklyn. The Nets have a total of 22 home games remaining.
Kyrie Irving could be available in Nets home games if Brooklyn is willing to pay a ‘small fine’, per @SBondyNYDN

Compared to his $34m/yr salary, that’s not even a rounding error, LOL.
This is insane.
How does paying money make the health concerns go away?
It seems its more about money and forcing compliance rather than sticking to supposed health concerns.
That is why all of this is bs. They just showed again its not about covid or preventing anything. Its about control, its about forcing you to get with the totalitarian program.
kyle = kyrie
I have to respect him for taking a stand. I do not really agree with his politics in general but on this, bravo. I am opposed to mandates and he is not backing down. Same with Novak Djokovic.
“My body, My Choice” doesn’t work so well does it Liberal Governors!
Proving the shot mandate is illegal; you can avoid it if you pay a fine.
Back in the ‘70s, Connecticut still had Blue Laws, and most stores could not be legally open on Sunday. The law was old, though, and the fine was fairly small ($300, I think) and on the Sundays before Christmas the big box stores at the time (Grants, Barkers, Mammoth Mart, Caldor’s, Treasure City, etc.) opened anyway, and paid the fine IF it was enforced. That ridiculousness helped lead to the repeal of most of the Blue Laws.
Pay the fine, Brooklyn Nets. It’s worth it.
He’s hated by the mediots for not taking the clot shot.

It's ALWAYS been about money and never about the virus.
Always, always, always ... follow the money.
He still can't play home games, only road games. And the ridiculous NYC mandates allow visiting, unvaccinated players to play in NY, but unvaccinated players on NY's home teams (like Kyrie) cannot play. No science behind those rules.
