Can anyone site Covid breakthrough cases with un-vaccinated people with natural immunity from prior infection?
Heard of a huge study in Qatar of every known case of the unjabbed getting reinfected. Reflections did happen but the symptoms only required hospital stays in only four cases, and there were no deaths...among a very huge sample. Bottom line is you should worry about getting covid19 a second time about as much as you worry about being hit by a random meteorite.

I know a couple who would not take the vaxx for religious reasons and caught Covid the first time around, that was about 1 1/2 ago and they both have Covid again. They will survive this time also

Let’s try this:
1) Re-infection was the subject of an enormously famous paper out of South Korea following the history of a Wuhan patient that they were fed by Chinese docs. From day 1, re-infection was happening. The patient in question almost died from the first infection. The second was several months later, less severe. He was 73.
2) Every anecdote or sample you hear about someone who “got it and it was no big deal — just the snifffles” . . . make sure you get their age, because frankly nothing else matters.
3) There is no magic inside your body. Lung cells die off and get replaced. If a cell had its receptor points covered with antibodies, preventing infection, its replacement after it dies won’t have that covering. Detection of infection will produce new antibodies (vaxed or natural immunity), but if the infection dose of virus particles was dense enough, it will infect a great many lung cells before defenses arrive. The older you are, the slower that happens.

I have been vaxed and boosted but I have never known if I have been sick with it or not as i have seasonal hayfever. Was sick with something in January 2020 but no tests were around then. Had a mild something or other for 3 days early fall 21 but it was on some days off so i never bothered getting tested.
I work around delta, alpha, and what ever other sub variants of covid floating around. I too, am a nurse...nearly 36 years and running.
Dr. John Campbell said a couple of weeks ago that if you had it within the last eight months you should be ok.

So you know my friends better than I do? Statistically, that is VERY unlikely. LOL!
There were at least 6 months between infections, and like I said the 2nd round symptoms were very mild.
I caught my first case from my friends 2nd case. My symptoms were more severe than his current case at the time.
i am sure it happens. ultimately, rna viruses mutate enough that you do catch future variants descended from the one you caught today.
now how common is it for folks who caught delta to become symptomatic with omicron, unvaxed and without other significant medical issues? I don’t know, and this is, of course, a key question.

Anecdotally, yes
Two of our friends had it twice. Both tested positive both times. My sister-in-law has it now, for the second time. She tested positive both times. None are vaxxed and refuse to be vaxxed. Only one was sick enough to have pneumonia on her second time with it. The other two were not very sick either time. All but one of my unvaxxed siblings have had it and none were very sick.
The EUAs were granted, in part, because there wasn't the usual 2-10 year clinical trial period AND because of the hysteria. The short term trials were just that...trials that ran for a few week under the usual data collection protocols.
The Vaccine Efficacy(VE) metrics of 90% or so were qualified (but that wasn't highlighted in the press releases)... they were effectively "in-time and in-sample" VEs. There was "no time" to do an out-of-time VE calculation because....well...people wanted a shot.
Now we see that -surprise - VE decays over time for these shots, right down to zero for Omicron. We also see side effects - maybe due to the messenger RNA platform - and the impacts across multiple seasons.
HOWEVER...if this was a clinical trial, all this data would be collected in a controlled, well-governed, trusted, and heterogenous manner where the TRUTH would be clear. THIS (among other things) is the benefit of long-run clinical trials.
Instead (by design?), because these observations are not sysmatically collected or are being collected by Citizen Clinicians, it exposes the process to name-calling, character assasination, smearing and so on.
So, who you gonna call?
Sounds like a seasonal thing.
I’d like to see the medical records, including labs, for anyone saying they’ve had CoupFlu multiple times.
Two doctors last spring said I had it at some point but I never felt sick. We all had a little cold last month and got the test just for the hell of it, positive. Wasn’t anything bad at all, if I didn’t do the test I wouldn’t even have called out of work.
My brother-in-law and his wife both got hit with Covid about a year ago, not vaccinated. BIL in particular had a tough time with it (and he’s in shape and works outside all day). They caught Covid again this past Thanksgiving, confirmed by testing.
Anyway, didn’t seem to affect them nearly as bad this time. They didn’t say it was the Omnicron variant, but seems likely. I don’t think they were vaccinated the second time either.
