Actor Alec Baldwin has posted a video on Instagram days before Christmas where he appears to wallow in self-pity over the 'really tough time' he has been having in recent weeks after accidentally shooting dead a cinematographer on the set of Rust.
Baldwin, 63, uploaded a video on himself speaking directly into the camera two months after the tragic shooting on his Western movie set in New Mexico, when the actor accidentally shot and killed Halyna Hutchins, 42.
In a three-minute long rambling video, Baldwin appears despondent and weary as he tells followers how the only thing he is living for right now is his wife and children.
The video, which was posted on Thursday afternoon, shows Baldwin looking drained and tired, hair unkempt and his face unshaven as he unloads in a stream of consciousness rant where he says he is looking to the future.
First, though, he took time to thank the 'support' he had received from family, friends and fans.
'I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all of the people who sent me such kind words and best wishes and strength and hope and prayers and so forth and thoughts and lots of encouragement and lots of really really great sentiments from so many people,' Baldwin began while standing outside.
"I got hundreds and hundreds of emails from friends, family and colleagues and people I haven't heard from in quite a while to send me strength and good wishes and so forth. I'm really grateful to them. Many people commenting on Instagram seem very very supportive about this difficult situation.'

I’m no fan of Alec Baldwin, but I do believe that this was a terrible accident and that his remorse is completely genuine. I feel sorry for him.
He will never be charged; would have happened already.
…slowly, …step….away…from the….abyss.
Just another liberal narcissist.
Baldwin is going to branch out with his own line of starter pistols made by the Oops! division of General Defective.
....after he goes before a judge and a jury of his peers.
The ME, MY, I performance of a lifetime. This was my favorite……
“I hope you are as LUCKY as I am in one department, that you are home with your family. I’m home with my family”. (Like rubbing salt into a wound, no pun intended)
Imagine the Hutchins family hearing this, it could almost be considered emotional abuse, because Halyna and her family were VERY UNLUCKY this year.
Baldwin did not fire the shot. He said so. The gun went off all by itself. And I believe is purple unicorns.

/\
Me too.
The only thing that will make me feel better about the whole thing
is to see him charged
for some form of manslaughter,
tried,
convicted,
and sentenced
and sitting behind bars
for years .
And your point is?
This fool just cant STFU.
sure, you can move forward with your life... behind bars
No remorse. Just wants to forget it, put it behind him. By extension wants everyone else to do the same. What a self-centered POS. He must be an awful human being.
Alec Baldwin will not be held responsible for his “terrible mistake”. On the other hand, Kim Potter the Minn. cop who was just convicted of manslaughter will spend many years in prison.
Narcissistic Personality Disorder. One of the key components is to make yourself out to be the victim. I do not believe that ANY of his despondent behavior, which I believe in his post is real, is FOR EITHER VICTIM HE SHOT or THE LITTLE BOY who must live the rest of his life without his mother. (my caps are for emphasis only, not shouting.)
People with NPD have no empathy for others. It is one of many emotions they learn to fake. You will recall that in his interview with George, he stated firmly that he felt NO GUILT.
The next step I see in his victimhood campaign: 1. Hilary has to commit him to a psychiatric hospital. 2. He continues a slow speed meltdown and halfheartedly attempts a suicide gesture, which again gets him committed. (But both get him attention and adoration from family and fan base which feeds the narcissism. And narcissistic supply is what he needs to survive.)
I’m not just speaking out of my hat on this subject. I was raised by a narcissistic parent and then my last remaining parent repeated the pattern and married another narcissistic. So, I know a little something firsthand. It’s an evil, evil, disease. And those who have it will destroy your life without one ounce of remorse or guilt.
You are close. Please see my post on Narcissistic Personality Disorder and what he is currently doing tactic wise, in this thread. (It’s a disease that I’m very familiar with).
Scumbag carelessly kills someone, injures another, and then acts like he’s the victim.
What nerve.
“how the only thing he is living for right now is his wife and children.”
If that’s the case i hope they leave him.
Sure is a really tough time for you, Alec. Just imagine how tough it is for the husband and son your victim left behind.
What Alec needs is to be behind bars. Manslaughter at the least. I claim no gun expertise, but I know that what he did and how he handled that firearm was reckless and led directly to the death of one and injury of another. The only reason he wasn’t in jail the same day is he is a famous, liberal, Hollywood actor. He is probably still free because the Democrat persecutors where this happened are desperately looking for a way to not charge him without appearing to be the hacks they are.
I must have missed the part where poor Alec got shot.
I hope he gets over it!
(So he can stand trial.)
It’s classic NPD (narcissistic personality disorder). Textbook. If you want a free lesson on the disease, go back and watch everything he’s done since October. Classic narcissist—even his anger management dovetails as the disease is often coupled with another mental health issue.
The sad truth, and it is sad, is that Baldwin is not capable of feeling any real empathy toward the two people he shot or the little boy who is now motherless. Please recall the interview with George where he stated firmly, he felt no guilt. Everything must be about him, his victimhood, his life, his future. People must continue to give him his adoration which fuels his narcissism.
Don’t truly mean to harp on the issue, which I admit I’ve done, especially on this thread. It’s just, after being raised by a narcissistic parent, and then having my last surviving parent remarry another narcissist (and living through decades more of their evil), I know something here. I survived.
