Tall to your doctor. Do you have ivermectin?
Put him in the basement for while he is there.
Take vitamin D and Zinc and get lots of Sun.
I would add Vit C and Quercetin (Zinc ionophore- facilitates getting zinc into cells)
You don’t say how old you and your wife are. But your son is young and he shouldn’t have much problem with COVID (although there is no guarantee). I take a daily regimen of D3, C, Zinc w/Quercetin and Melatonin. I also have a doctor who does not think I should get the vaccine (he’s aware of the adverse affects and told me about VAERS). He prescribed Ivermectin, which I took during my bout with COVID. Still was a rough go (I’m 70), but I have a nurse wife who kept me moving and hydrated. Your son should be fine...just keep him isolated.
We're treating it the same we've treated all head colds for decades - no testing, no isolation.
Besides cold remedies, we all take vitamin C and D3, zinc, L-Lysine, etc. on a regular basis.
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind"

Do you have a blood oximeter? Assuming it is Omicron and there are no comorbidities, ride it out keeping an eye on blood O2. Sniffles is a symptom of Omicron. Only one of the monoclonals has any effect (not a lot) on Omicron, so do check into that. Other than that, Omicron is the least virulent (how sick it makes you) of the variants and the most contagious.
Ask for some prayers. There are a few people that get very sick from it, but the vast majority do not.
Cook a bunch of meals now. You won’t want to in a few days.
You probably won’t want to eat either, I lost 10 lbs when I had it, but you have to eat to keep your nourishment up.
While it sucks, there is still a 99.7% survival rate.
I could be wrong but from what I understand, the tests still cannot tell the actual difference between true Covid 19 or a normal flu or cold that also happens to be a “covid” strain. Our clan considers them as tests for a “possible” and not a “definite”.
Quarantine him to a basement/bedroom. Have him monitor symptoms. Crate his dog if the dogs are not getting along.
Second, call you doctor.
Things that might help, up your vitamin D and zinc. Do not allow more guests into your home for now.
Lastly, this is most likely the omicron variant which is said to be milder. Monoclonals for this variant are in short supply. In fact Texas doesn’t even have the right one available.
My kids are always welcome covid or not. Fortunately they’ve not had it.
I’d have as much of the following on hand as possible. And I’d be taking the ones recommended in the Harvard article at a minimum.
Disclaimer, I’m not a doctor.
Preventative & Treatment
Quercetin & zinc (anti-viral)
Ivermectin (anti-viral)
Vitamin D3 & K2 (D3 deficiency + covid is lethal)
Vitamin C (Immune booster)
Q10 (Improves oxygen delivery)
NAC (Reduces need for ventilation, helps respiratory ^4)
Omega 3s
B6 (cytokine storm,, anti-thrombosis)
Magnesium
Melatonin
Elderberry (anti-viral)
Gotu Kola (Triterpenes) Blocks Covid through protease ^2
Thymoferrin (Blocks enzyme in cytokine storm) ^3
Turmeric (anti-thrombosis, anti-inflamatory)
Selenium
Don’t over think this. He’ll be fine. You and your wife may or may not get Covid, but you’ll also be fine. Unlike you have other health co-morbitities, Covid is a cold or the flu.
My son who lives with us just got over Covid. He didn’t feel great for a few days, but otherwise nothing. He been back to work this week. My wife and I? Nothing. So take the commonly suggested supliments and you’ll get through this.
And your dogs? That may be the trickier part of all this.
We’ve got it too. After almost two years working at a nursing home, my wife finally brought home covid three days ago. My wife was eligible for the monoclonal antibody treatment due to her BMI being just high enough plus she has COPD so she got the treatment. I’ve got Ivermectin and Doxycycline, plus we’ve got all the vitamins/supplements.

The nursing home is required to report cases to the county health dept who called my wife just to check up on her, get a list of symptoms. During the conversation, my wife told her about the mAB infusion treatment. The health dept lady asked how my wife found a place to get it because people have been asking her and she had no answer. Also said the doctors don’t seem to know. My old blue collar arse did a duckduckgo search for “monoclonal antibody treatment center locations Missouri”. Very first result was a health.mo.gov webpage with a link to a map with all MO locations.
So neither these county health dept people nor the doctors know how to find these infusion centers but I looked it up in less than a minute and found it on the State Health Dept website. Good luck with that MD. I’ll take care of us using the protocols in the links above.
Vit D should be 5000ui. I got a bottle online with each pill being that strength. Don’t know if you can find it in stores like that. I had been taking two 400UI pills for a few weeks but brought out the good stuff right after we learned of the positive test result. Zing, 50-100mg. We have 25mg pills so we’re taking two each.
Hug my son and give him chicken soup.

Our kid, 21, came home with it too two weeks ago. He isolated himself in his room. There’s a bathroom right next to his room, any time he came out there was a cloud of Lysol, and we would place food and such by his door, all at his request. This morning is his first day back at work.
Wife now is having symptoms, just waiting on the test. According to two doctors I apparently had it at some point but they said the same about her!
One thought about it spreading was we have forced-air heating and I never covered the return in his room...maybe I’m questioning too much?

Add some quercetin so that zinc works better.
Add some quercetin so that zinc works better.
Keep windows open. Turn up the heat for a few days if you have to. Fresh air!
Follow up to post #19; I think we have Omicron because after three days, symptoms are no worse than the common cold. If your son came from a populous place, it’s most likely Omicron which is supposed to account for 70%+ cases in the US at this point. My symptoms just ht last night and I plan on going out and cutting some firewood today. I feel well enough to do so. Wife has been pigging out. No loss of smell/taste. She’s had symptoms for 2 1/2 days and that’s as far as it’s gone. mAB treatment might be helping if it’s Delta but only the UK has an mAB treatment that works on Omicron. If covid is just the flubro, then Omicron is just a ColdBro.
