I wonder if Mickey will keep the tour going and call it the Monkee.

Well that’s a stick in the eye. While I do enjoy a lot of the Monkees music his biggest contribution to my life was producing Repoman, the soundtrack of which changed my life.

A talented singer-songwriter and a music visionary. The Stone Poneys with Linda Ronstadt had a big hit with “Different Drum” in the 60s. Nesmith was the songwriter.

Many good memories of his music...
Sad to see him taken at such an early age...
RIP Michael...

I remember those days. Watched every episode. Nesmith had a real quirky sense of humor. Remember the obscure “Elephant Parts”? Here’s an excerpt - Elvis Drugs: https://youtu.be/1KWJocF_7VQ

I’m sure Neismith was in the background somewhere:

Dolenz: “Then I saw her face”
Nesmith/Jones/Tork: “Dooo-ooo Dooo-ooo”
Dolenz: “Now, I’m a believer”
Nesmith/Jones/Tork: “Dooo-ooo Dooo-ooo”
Dolenz: “Not a trace”

And so forth
