“FDA authorized on Thursday a booster dose of Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine for adolescents aged 16-17 years. CDC Director Rochelle Walensky endorsed the move, noting that initial data indicates boosters increase protection against the new Omicron variant. Peter Marks, MD, PhD, director of FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, said: “The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine has been available to individuals 16 years of age and older for nearly a year, and its benefits have been shown to clearly outweigh potential risks.” FDA’s review of the vaccine for older teens came quickly, but officials note they made sure the extra dose of vaccine worked safely for that age group before authorizing it. The agency had been reviewing data from an ongoing trial testing the booster dose for young people aged 16-17 years for months, even before Pfizer and BioNTech filed a new request for authorization. FDA said the decision to authorize booster for this age group was based on its previous analysis of data for about 200 adults that supported boosters for individuals aged 18 years and older. Additionally, it looked at real-world data about COVID-19 cases, including the risk of myocarditis. he commander of the US Navy’s SEAL Team 8 died Tuesday from injuries sustained in a training accident in Virginia Beach over the weekend, the Navy said.
Cmdr. Brian Bourgeois, 43, died Tuesday at Norfolk Sentara General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia, the Navy announced in a statement Wednesday.
The incident is under investigation, but according to initial indications, the accident occurred during a fast-rope training exercise Saturday, according to the Navy. The training involves troops practicing descending quickly on a rope from, for example, a helicopter.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the Bourgeois family — and we will ensure our community remains in support of and in relationship with Brian’s family and his children, for life,” Rear Adm. H.W. Howard III, the commander of the Naval Special Warfare Command, said in a statement.
“Brian was one of our very best leaders, who possessed all the attributes that make our force effective. We will miss his charismatic leadership and faithful stewardship of our standard. His legacy carries on in teammates he served with, led, and mentored.”
The findings of the investigation into the accident will be made available “at the appropriate time,” the Navy said.
Bourgeois received his commission from the US Naval Academy in May 2001.
Over his more than 20-year long career in the military, Bourgeois was awarded the Bronze Star, among other decorations and awards.
“Brian was as tough as they come, an outstanding leader, and a committed father, husband and friend. This is a great loss to everyone who knew him. He will be greatly missed,” said Capt. Donald G. Wetherbee, commodore, Naval Special Warfare Group 2.
Bourgeois is survived by his wife and their five children.

I guess Israel is last.
I know someone who was there and he will not talk about it, which is really weird for him. He usually talks nonstop about everything, but mention of Las Vegas/Route 91 shuts him up completely.
We also had invited a couple of people who had been injured at Route 91 to speak at an event. The day before, they cancelled with the excuse that their lawyers had told them they shouldn't talk, since there was still litigation going on. Which was strange, because they were there to talk about their medical treatments at the hospital and not Route 91 specifically. It would have been really easy for them to step around the topic, but they got shut down, which left us scrambling for someone to fill in as speakers.
The best response: One foreign politician who actually campaigned for Trump — Brexit campaigner Nigel Farage — tweeted: “Four years ago when Trump won, broadcasters showed scenes of people in shock and crying. Today, a Biden declaration shows coverage that would make you think Jesus had returned.”
Lately I have been wondering when I will start to have nightmares that they come to me to take over the supervisor’s position when she can no longer handle it due to effects of the Notavax or because too many on the team cannot perform due to effects of the Notavax and it is looking bad for her and she is stressing out too much.
I will decline any and all offers to make me supervisor.

Haha! But truly, seeing masked orchestras makes me very sad. When I see them on YouTube, I have to listen only - can’t watch. And so few people in my profession are critical thinkers or conservatives (but I repeat myself) and have no idea how manipulated they are. Like puppets on a string. And now jabbed, too, by their own mandate. And tested weekly. Disgusting.
