I know someone who was there and he will not talk about it, which is really weird for him. He usually talks nonstop about everything, but mention of Las Vegas/Route 91 shuts him up completely.
We also had invited a couple of people who had been injured at Route 91 to speak at an event. The day before, they cancelled with the excuse that their lawyers had told them they shouldn't talk, since there was still litigation going on. Which was strange, because they were there to talk about their medical treatments at the hospital and not Route 91 specifically. It would have been really easy for them to step around the topic, but they got shut down, which left us scrambling for someone to fill in as speakers.
They were questioned that night before coming home. They really didn’t see anything as they were under the VIP tent with their backs to Mandalay Bay. The shots were coming over them into the open seating area in front of them.
His MIL was in a wheelchair and he told me he had to concentrate on getting around items people left as they fled. Because of that he said he was grateful he didn’t see the bodies of people shot. He said he kept his eyes down and moving forward.
I don’t think he was ever told not to talk about it. They were not part of the lawsuit as they were not hurt and didn’t want to profit off others who were. I know there were suspicious deaths of some survivors. We absolutely don’t believe the official story.
