AURORA, Colo. -- For the third time in the last two weeks, multiple teenagers were shot in Aurora. The shooting happened early Sunday morning near North Dayton Street and East Colfax Avenue.
Police found two people on the scene and took them to the hospital. Authorities said three others showed up at the hospital later. The victims were between the ages of 16 and 20 years old. All are expected to survive.
I don't know how much longer I can do this," secondary violence prevention specialist Jason McBride told 9NEWS. "Like my heart has been broken umpteen times and has shattered in a million pieces all over this city behind kids that have lost their lives in situations I think we could have prevented."

No intact family, no Christianity, this is what you get, a return to basic humanity: Tribalism with no real morality beyond the tribe, and little there.
Children are wild animals which must be taught morality and ethics.
Morality and ethics are not intrinsic to human nature.
Still not sure what they do or how effective they may be - evidently given Aurora's recent track record that would be "not very."

I don't know what that is, but by the sound of the news, he's not very good at his job. Maybe they shouldn't have defunded the primary violence prevention specialist, also known as a prison warden.

Well effin' duh! When you advocate policies that destroy traditional families and traditional values, is it any wonder the kids produced by this environment are not "thinking straight" - ie. don't exhibit normal values, priorities, and behaviors?
In the vacuum left by leftist policies the kids have developed their own social interaction framework. The answer isn't mental health efforts and drugs strapped on after the fact - it is strong families, discipline, responsibility, accountability, and consequences from an early age.
But those kinds of things aren't popular with the feel-good crowd. They want everyone to get a trophy, no-one has to learn how to handle disappointment or setbacks. No-one is responsible for their decisions and actions, someone will always come along and bail you out of the bad situation you got yourself into. Or we'll blame the gun not you dear...
Enact stupid policies, and this kind of thing is what you get. It is going to take years, decades maybe, to un-****.

As a child, I watched the Rocky and Bullwinkle show every morning before school. At the end of the show, the last clip was of a circus parade marching down the street. The last guy in the parade was pushing a trash can and carrying a broom and dustpan. He walked right behind the elephants and his job appeared to be to scoop up the elephant droppings. So, in answer to your question of what is a secondary violence prevention specialist, I suggest he is the last guy in the parade.
