ORANGE CITY — A pregnant librarian was killed in a road rage incident after she instigated a fight with a motorcyclist, police said.
Orange City police said 35-year-old Sara Morales was shot outside her home following an argument with another motorist. Police said Morales intentionally hit the motorcycle Saturday and then fled the scene. Authorities said the motorcyclist and a witness followed her, trying to get her to stop.
The motorcyclist told police they called police while following the librarian back to her home.
According to police, Morales went inside, returned with a gun and a confrontation occurred in the road. The motorcyclist allegedly shot Morales multiple times. The pregnant woman and mother of an 11-year-old was pronounced dead at the hospital, Fox 35 Orlando reported.
Police said the motorcyclist has a concealed weapons permit, remained at the scene and has been cooperating with investigators.
The investigation is ongoing. No charges have been filed.
That is all very true.
The other thing to keep in mind is that males have an inherent physical advantage over females because we have naturally produced steroids on board (Testosterone)...with both positive and negative aspects to that.
It makes men (on the average) bigger, stronger, and more aggressive. Just nature at work.

So a preggers woman in a 2000+ pound car hits a guy on a 700 pound bike, and you’re OK with that?
“Little Tiny KIA”? Really? “Not seriously INJURED?” What the actual EFF?
He followed the GUILTY party home and waited for the cops OUT IN THE STREET, while she came out shooting, and HE’s the aggressor?
It must be hard to be so completely ignorant, to the point of beyond moronic.
She nearly KILLED him, and he’s supposed to “Turn the other cheek?”
I hope your kids are smarter than you are.
Lousy mother.
“Darwinism”
So, you didn’t bother reading the article.
That’s *exactly* what the motorcyclist did. She came out with a gun and attacked him with the gun. What’s the motorcyclist supposed to do, sit there and die rather than defend themselves?
Very poor judgement on this pregnant Karen’s part. She was home and ‘safe’ - she could have called the police and waited for them to come. Instead she grabbed her gun and went to confront someone not on her property and got what she asked for.
The motorcyclist did *not* confront her. He stayed off her property (with other witnesses) and waited for the police to arrive. The Karen came out of her house with a gun instead and confronted the motorcyclist.
Again, is the motorcyclist just supposed to sit there and die?
Florida does not allow lane splitting/sharing like CA and one other state does.
However - she committed felony hit and run; when a car hits a bike with rider at any time, you get injuries. She was actually a fleeing felon. https://www.flhsmv.gov/safety-center/driving-safety/hitrun/
Doesn’t matter what the other driver was doing - when she ran from the scene instead of stopping she became a felon.
Except that’s exactly what the motorcyclist did, and Karen came after him with a gun anyway. Is the motorcyclist supposed to just sit there and die instead of defending himself from a crazed Karen with a gun?
You seem to have made up your own story. Per the article, the motorcyclist WAS letting the legal authorities handle things - he was not on her property and was waiting for the police he had summoned to arrive. It was the woman who fled into the house, then came out with a firearm to accost the motorcyclist. Again, the motorcyclist did not confront her, was waiting off her property for the police to arrive after she committed felony hit and run - FYI, it no longer is enough to get a plate number. Stolen plates, fake plates and temp tags are a thing these days - and there was no way for the motorcyclist or witnesses to know that the vehicle was at its registered address.
Years ago, we were on our benefit run for the WV VA and a car literally knocked over a biker, cutting through the herd, just to take a last-minute exit.
[maybe he “didn’t see” the 3500 bikers. I dunno. We’re “not seen” an awful lot]
WV state troopers who escort us stopped him and the last I saw, the troopers were all intensely studying the clouds on the opposite horizon, as several bikers dragged the driver down over the bank and out of sight.
The ran-down biker lived.
This thread is amazing, isn’t it?
Soooo many people that just saw “motorcyclist” and “pregnant woman” and assumed the motorcyclist was at fault for absolutely everything...
Multiple witnesses stated that she charged out of the house pointing a gun at the motorcyclist - who, again, was in the public street and *not* on her property.
Well, aren’t we always?
;D
Especially where Karens and idiot Boomers who watched waaaaaaaaaay too much Easy Rider are concerned, yes. :P
And some people wonder why I ride with a helmet camera.
My dad taught me, as part of my gun learnin’ lessons, that any time a gun is pointed at me, I am to assume that the pointer intends to kill me and I should respond appropriately.
I don’t have a helmet camera but I do have a small mount on my left handlebar to which I affix a nice little Sony pocket rocket camera.
I get 20 megapixel HD vids of my my favorite rides.
Ironically, I also have a video of a ride in PA, which clearly shows an old man driving a van, sitting at an intersection.
In it, you can clearly see him look right at me and then pull out anyway.
Then you can see the side of the van as it comes perilously close, and the oncoming traffic I was forced into to avoid being flattened by him.
[all of this mind you, with Alice Cooper singing “Hard Hearted Alice” in the background, on my stereo]
Then the video shows me ditching the bike in the parking lot where the old man stopped and from then on, all you hear is the audio of me, screaming, cussing and kicking the side of his van, trying to get him to come out and play.
Yes, I was pissed.
He just sat there, hands gripping the steering wheel, refusing to even look at me and then he sent a tiny little old lady out to “apologize”.
Well that wrecked everything.
She was not only itty bitty and ancient, she was not the one who needed punched.
I was done.
Not gonna take it out on her.
I hope they took away his driving privileges, after that, at least.
Man, it was surrealistic.
My death could’ve had a pretty decent soundtrack.
The funny part is that it shows hubby, standing off at a distance, looking freaked.
Even he wouldn’t come near me, at that point.
:D
Yup, sounds about right for a certain kind elderly Boomer guy.
By the way, there’s a different and more effective way to deal with idiots like them. Call the cops on your Bluetooth headset (which I also have mounted in the helmet) and report a potentially drunk or drugged driver that just almost hit you and ran you into oncoming traffic. Cops usually show up pretty quick for that and they get to spend 15-30 minutes or more talking to Officer Unfriendly. It’s not even a lie - they’re driving erratically, for all you know they *are* drunk - and in my personal experience it’s not unusual to find that they *are*, and then you get to watch them get a free ride to jail (if you stuck around to watch.)
Don’t get me wrong-I am not blaming the guy at all.
She is the one who made all the bad decisions here...getting into a verbal altercation, running into him, running away, coming out with a gun and pointing it at him. She made every wrong decision she could have.
He did the right thing when a weapon was pulled on him. That is a threat and he was justified in stopping the threat.
I hope I didn’t give a different impression in some previous post.
