I came back and read this after you pinged us and here is what I forgot to mention.
My doctor said to take Famotidine but it didn’t help with the intense stomach pain. My daughter keeps prescription strength Zantac and she gave me two. I took one tablet for two days and the pain was gone. Not only did I have chest congestion, chest pain, dry and wet cough, I also had the intense stomach pain, liquid in one ear with ringing, headache, but no fever. It was weird. This was before they tested without a fever so I have no way of knowing if it was the coof or not. It all started with a sore throat. I might have had a low fever but didn’t know it because I didn’t have a thermometer. Besides the Famotidine the doctor prescribed without seeing me, she prescribed a Z-pak, two prescription cough meds, Prednisone, and an antibiotic. In other words, she treated it like they knew to do for coof at the time.
I finally got over it after about two weeks but the cough lasted a long time.
I went to a clinic for an antibody check a couple of months ago but it didn’t show any so I guess I didn’t have coof. It had been 18-months since I was sick at the beginning of coof and the nurse said the antibodies don’t stay in the blood long. The longest she has seen them after natural coof is 9 months. So....who knows?
