Ok. The various USDA offices are in, nearly-exclusively, rural areas. They have inspectors who are in the various food production plants. Without them production stops, by law.
Then you have the dudes (almost all dudes) “processing” the hogs, chickens and cattle you eat. They are all in rural areas. Without them, well..... there is no processing at all.
A large percentage of them have refused to be vaccinated against Covid-19.
You think you have a problem now with supply issues?

If you thought monoclonal antibody treatment was something natural it is not. It is created in a lab.
I'm not presently pro or con I am simply pointing out some things. Synthetic lab created is rarely (if ever) as good as the real thing. Example: Tramadol. A horrible substitute for Vicoden and other opiods for treating pain. Not even going there.
But I digress. Now back to the article.

I was wondering about this article...

(snip) Yet what may prove most historic is the biotechnology that emerged from the pandemic. Specifically, the vision of an mRNA vaccine went from dream to reality. And the successful creation of a viable mRNA vaccine could have repercussions for the way diseases are treated for centuries.
That technology, whose development was quickened by the pandemic, is already being studied to treat other diseases.
