Waters just announced that Chad Pergram is hearing rumors that Kamala Harris is going to be out.
Actually it just might be possible for Bidumb to sort of “fire” heelsup by declaring her ineligible by virtue of her birth. He could claim he was “frauded” and wouldn’t have selected her but she lied about her parentage. So just for fun maybe Bidumb could nominate Trump for veep? I just dreamed that!

Try to think like a democrat. An assassin shoots her, they blame it on a “white supremacist”. This riles up black and brown, leading to months of riots and non-stop coverage in the media about the racist GOP being a threat to democracy. They just need to time it so the “outrage” lasts until the midterms.

Let’s assume Harris leaves office in one way or the other. Either she’s privately threatened with indictment for something, or she’s enticed into taking a place on the Supreme Court, after one of the liberal justices has been persuaded to resign, possibly in the same manner. If the Democrats stick together, Harris herself can break the tie and be confirmed. Now, the vice-presidency is vacant and any replacement has to be confirmed by the Senate, but this creates another problem.
It will be understood that whoever the Democrats are proposing, that person will assume the presidency as Biden will resign in time to save the November election. However, since there is now vice-president, there is no one to break the tie in the Senate to confirm whomever the Democrats nominate. They need one vote from the Republican side, and who do we suppose might be willing to help? Who might be so unprincipled to sell their vote to save the Democrats? There are, of course, many possibilities, but Romney comes first to mind. So, by these unlikely circumstances Romney becomes the Democrats’ hero. What’s his price? Well, there’s now a vacancy for the office of vice-president.
Getting a new Vice President past the Senate advice-and-consent requirement may be an interesting proposition ...
Perhaps they have Breyer retire and Kamala heads to the SC.
Not sure what the protocol is to install her replacement as VP.
That would be a disaster.

Just tell Kammie her job for the next three years will be taking trips to such exotic locales as Botswana, the Congo, Haiti, Libya, Burundi, Liberia, Somalia and Malawi. Her US stops could include Barrow, Alaska and other hospitable environs.
There are ways of “asking” for resignations.

Unless the Dems plan to do a Titanic(go down with the ship), they have to have a viable VP to take over when they toss Joe overboard. Mitch and McCarthy should quietly, or not so quietly, tell NP and CS that there will be no GOP votes for any successor candidate, no matter who.
