When I am handed a firearms I always take the word of the person handing it to me of it’s “condition”. NOT!
Lots of guilt to go around here. Most disasters have a cascade of errors not just ine. The idea that there has to be a single guilty party - to my non-legal expert point if view - seems questionable. Also the fact that missy says she “doesn’t know” seems like pretty weak sauce.
How bout she’s guilty of negligence for not properly fulfilling her job as armorer AND Arec is guilty for pointing a gun after not checking it in some sort of pre filming activity as well as pulling the trigger unless we think that the gun “just went off”.
I do think that the either/or dynamic that seems implicit in many of these discussions doesn’t logically follow.
Reminds me of “who killed davy Moore - why and what’s the reason for”.
Nobody takes responsibility for anything anymore. Always somebody’s else’s fault. Liberalism in a nutshell.
Doesn’t matter who loaded it. It was her job to check all guns to make sure they were safe before handing g them to actors. She failed in her job, and she should be prosecuted, along with Baldwin, for negligent homicide, at least to some degree. Maybe an accessory to negligent homicide, ba,win being ultimately responsible for the actual negligent homicide.
Doesn’t matter who loaded the gun unless someone did so in a deliberate attempt to cause a fatality or gun accident. The gun was used for target practice (something g that never shou,d have been allowed on or near the set, with the guns used being mixed in with prop guns specific for the movie- others could be charged with reckless endangerment for doing so. But the people doing the target practice aren’t really to blame. They had a right to load and shoot the guns off stage, but it’s what happened after that matters. The gun apparently was put onto a cart with stage guns, and the armoror didn’t check the gun before she handed it to Baldwin. The armoror didn’t follow procedure, and neither did baldwin, so both should be charged for negligence. She for reckless endangerment, he for negligent homicide)
Did she load the gun? Yes, that is her job. If she did not then she did not have control of the weapons props.
She was responsible for that weapon. She and the assistant director are as responsible for the death as Baldwin. All should be prosecuted.
Exactly my thoughts. Isn’t there supposed to be a proper “chain of custody” when dealing with guns on a movie set that has to follow and be documented every step of the way?
She’s going to have a million dollar legal defense bill if she wants to avoid prison. How will she be able to pay that?
An honest assessment of the job...in previous times.
Looks like the hammer is down and the trigger all the way back and this “lean” could be from recoil. Don’t know what cal was being used.
Correction,Apparently she wasn’t her who, handed the gun to Baldwin. So whoever the amoror was. They should be charged as well as Baldwin.
Baldwin should be singing "Prisoners of Love" in Jail.
A good way for someone to get away with killing someone?
Read through the posting chain further down and all your questions will be answered.
“provide adult supervision” she doesn’t come across as an adult.
good catch. I zoomed in and don’t see a trigger so it is all the way back. Looks like the stance was wrong to start with though.
Yes, saw that episode once.
yeah, I mean, like, would you like trust her with your life? OMG
Absolutely....
Iâm one if the few who thinks Baldwin will be charged. He might get a light punishment but I canât see the DA letting him off scot free, movie star Dem or not.
Freepers twist to convict Baldwin cause heâs so hated....I get that impulse
Actors do not check firearms ....they trust the AD or armorer
99% wouldnât know how...
Baldwin will likely be sued as a producer...though
Anyone upstream from the set will be named
Responsibility is with armorer...and director
It should be literally with the armorer....she said cold weapon.
âBut Wardaddy you should always check the breech and mag or clip or cylinder when handed a firearmâ
Indeed but itâs a movie set.....itâs different protocol unless a seasoned actor is handed a gun who may know better. Like Kurt or Lee Marvin or Eastwood or Keanu
I just texted someone I know out there who produces movies for a living...a few were big productions with big names
I asked âBaldwin will likely be sued Iâd imagine by the womanâs family?â
He replied :
âA billion percent. That set was a disaster and they all knew there were misfires and live ammunition several days before. It was an incredibly poorly run shoot. â
