I’ve been using one website for years to get weather but now it is asking for intrusive permissions just for me to check the weather. Others I’m trying are asking the same questions and some want to load an application to evaluate my responses. Uhm...no...so accuweather apparently defaults to Celsius. Good to know. I still need a pancake flipper to loosen my frozen socks from the wood flooring.

Just before one of my childhood caregivers retired, I happened to return home for a visit and encountered him for the first time in some years. We got to talking and at some point in the conversation, I said something about a problem I was having and wondered why it was happening to me.
One of the things he told me stuck with me: "Satan never causes problems for his own. He already has them... but he is always working to get to the rest of us." I think about this when I see people like Bill Gates, George Soros, etc getting all the breaks- they made a deal.
I think that applies to most of us in here.
