Dave Chappelle released a new comedy special, The Closer, on Netflix last night. Which means, with a depressing inevitability, that Chappelle also released a new set of jokes predicated on making fun of trans people, depicting them as thin-skinned bullies bound and determined to push poor, multi-millionaire comedians like Dave Chappelle around. GLAAD has now issued a condemnation of the special, which includes a loud declaration from Chappelle that he’s “Team TERF!” in addition to other transphobic material.
Chappelle, in fact, devotes quite a considerable chunk of The Closer to talking about trans issues—i.e., the issue of trans people asking him not to peddle transphobic “comedy” that involves loudly declaring, “THAT. IS. A. FACT.” while talking, to rapturous applause, about the state of other people’s genitals.
Chappelle spends roughly the entire last third of the 70-minute special on the topic, ending with a promise to stop telling any jokes about the LGBTQ+ community, an assertion that reads less like personal growth, and more like he’s taking his ball and going home before he ends up getting treated in a similar manner to fellow millionaires J.K. Rowling, Kevin Hart, and DaBaby. (All of whom get namechecked in The Closer.)

“They pushed Tim Allen off TV too for awhile.Last Man Standing was a great Show”
Yes it was, I didn’t start watching until the last three season when it moved to Fox. I’m enjoying the re-runs running on cmt. Even just 5-6 years on I doubt some of the shows could be made with the Mike, Chuck interchanges.
Checking it out now.
were the jokes funny?
Dave is a practicing Muslim so he is conservative, just not the way you think.
humorless tyrannical wannabes
FU GLAAD.... cannot believe we have let sick degenerates drive the national narratives.
Islam is right about gays.
(LOL, wanna make a Liberal’s head explode?)
i watched it. it is great. and there is nothing transphobic about it. they protest after every one of his specials.
this is the guy who walked away from millions on the table when he left chappelle’s show.
He needs another skit “Christian KKK trans male”...
At some point in time, they are going to step one inch too far over the line and then it will be HOLY HELL FOR THEM............................
I always hear the “if they go one more inch...they’re gonna get it. “ regarding the leftists and then say “oh yeah.... I’ll take a mile and you won’t do shit about it” and then they take the mile and we don’t do anything.
they are some of the meanest jam it up yer *** SOBS on the planet.
That’s why they are called the Gaystapo.
LMS was too much lighthearted competition during the dinner hour for the network news shows.
The transphobic left in and out of media tried unsuccessfully to project its own partisan bigotry and disdain toward the fake female candidate and fake Kardassian, the former Bruce Jenner, then had one of its own attack the black candidate in the recent Cali recall.
Chappelle's previous special mocked the "alphabet people" and lampooned "French actor" Jussie Smollett over his 2019 hate hoax. Remember though, he voted for Hillary (and said so in that same special), no doubt supports Critical Race Theory, and is a racist demagogue. Here's the bit, includes subtle criticism of homophobia accusations. Blue language warning.

Needs to be on billboards everywhere.
GLAAD vs African American...... “mom I need more popcorn!”
thanks for the post ... can’t wait to see what chappelle is up to these days ... hopefully he’s still funny, skewering everything and everyone and just concentrating on attacking conservatives like so many of his unfunny, tiresome contemporaries do ...
Haven’t seen the new one but the last Netflix special he refered to them as “Alphabet People” which, got a chuckle from me. I suppose LGBTQ is being sponsored by Sesame Street.
A phobia is an unreasonable or unwarranted fear. So Transphobic means you’re afraid of trannies, without good reason.
Since they are mentally ill, it is smart to be cautious around them, but scared? Not likely. And failing to acknowledge their illness as valid is considered hate. Since when do we hate sick people?
I had zero interest in seeing the special before this article, but now it’s must see TV! If the Gaystapo hates it, it must be good!
