Several federal agencies under the Biden Administration have been purchasing surveillance drone technology from Chinese companies, even though the technology had previously been labeled a national security threat by the Department of Defense, according to Fox News.
Purchases have been made by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the U.S. Secret Service, with the drones being provided by the company DJI, which is based in Shenzhen. The purchase of eight drones by the Secret Service was made on July 26th; just three days earlier, Biden’s own Defense Department had labeled DJI a national security threat. The FBI bought 19 drones around the same time.

then there is NO reason to buy them from china.
The current administration is making these decisions because they are stupid but because they are Evil with a capital E.
They are stupid, too. But the evil is their motive and purpose, utter tyranny CCP style is their goal.
That's when people who were Cruz supporters began checking into Trump further....wise voters didn't just go along with the crowd...they checked Trumps history etc. which surprised many...including me. But When I voted for Trump I knew who I was voting for...completely.

Over 50 US companies with only one aimed at consumers. The rest are aimed at enterprise, government and military but they are small drones compared to the ones .mil uses that fires rockets.
Skydio is the only personal drone but it’s mostly a follow drone and is hard to fly manually evidently.

Not cheap of course. $1350 to $3k.
DJI also has a government edition; https://www.thedronegirl.com/2019/07/01/djis-response-to-data-concerns-a-government-edition-drone/
I doubt the dems are worried about ‘data concern’ or if they are concerned, it’s in the wrong way, like how to collect as much as possible for china.
HMMM-—What could go wrong here???
Maybe like having China spying on the those who are spying.
Reminds me of MAD Magazine’s “SPY VS SPY VS SPY”

I got curious myself because I’ve been wanting a drone for a while. Made in the USA looks to be out of my price range unfortunately. I might just hold off and maybe I’ll come across the money for the Skydio or something else.
Wouldn’t be a bad business to get into working for real estate agents. Get outdoors, walk around some. Need a license from the FAA to do it commercially. Started out needing a bonafide pilot’s license until they finally came up with a FAA drone license. It’s just a book test. No actual flying skills test.

There are a ton of different industries using them these days. Great for visual inspections of things high up.

Many people woke up to Trump after a while. I did research on him and went “WOW!!!!! He is GREAT!”. Up until he said he was running for POTUS I never paid any attention to him, other than when he popped up in I think 2012 and asked “where is 0b0la’s birth certificate?”.
I was not fond of Cruz, and the fact that he hid is dual Canadian/USA citizenship still sticks in my craw. He is NOT a natural born citizen and not eligible to be president. I wouldn’t want him on SCOTUS either for that reason. Let him be a decent Senator.
Yeah, Levin galled me with his Cruz support and dislike of Trump. And he touts himself as a constitutional scholar. He’s gotten better. Bias is not good, wanting the truth only is the way to go. Levin’s fiancee or girlfriend or whatever’s son worked in the Cruz campaign, which may have had something to do with Levin’s blindness.

Check out # 31.
The Federal Government considers China a brother-in-arms. If that’s not apparent to anyone they’re not paying attention.
I’m not a drone fan — buzzing little privacy invaders are not my cup of tea — but they can be extremely useful, and the drone industry appears to be growing like mad.
I build the occasional custom truck, old Chevies with newer frame & drivetrain and I’d love to have the long view video of it sitting still, 350 wrap around view a bit closer and video of it on the move.
There’s a couple of guys that already do it and it seems to add quite a bit of value in the form of mad ebay bidding wars.
I live in the Ozarks which is very pretty at times with hills and curves going through rolling hills farmland.
I’d want one with follow feature. Both follow the cell phone/remote signal or choose an object that it will focus on and follow. Mostly automated in my case.
But yeah, if I could get some work with it too, that would be cool. Lots of farms get sold via realtors and auctioneers. The farm across the road got auctioned last year and it was 4-600 acres being split up into four tracts.
When I looked deeper about Trump I was astounded how consistent he was and remains about this country and people. I was surprised how steadfast he was throughout his life. He truly loves this country and the average guy.
He is an extremely unusual man, very multi-faceted. The exact opposite of politicians.
What can go wrong?
Alas, not with the hardware reliability or software as sophisticated.
The software sends video up to the cloud to who knows where.
DJI is the clear market leader in personal drone technology. They’ve led the market for quite some time.
There are cheaper knockoffs, but they’re pretty bad.
