What guns have you sold that you miss dearly?
I miss my High Standard AR 15 sn 107. made in Tx, a tack driver...
Colt Python Silhouette.
Uzi’s.
I’m simply jealous of you.
Marlin Model 60 .22 circa 1995 edition.
Winchester Model 70 Featherweight in 30.06, 1962 edition
Colt Lightweight Commander .45 ACP 1978 edition
For each I received far more than I paid. But I would gladly buy them back at whatever the fair, going rate is today.
Each was in near perfect condition, and each shot exceptionally well.
How they shoot, how they feel and how pretty they are... is...everything to us amateur collectors.
That and whether you have any more room in the safe.
Carried that overseas.
Latest update on EXACTO:
DARPA has gone quiet on EXACTO and has not released any details since 2014. This suggests one of two things: the program was defunded in favor of other projects or it has entered classified service with some arm of the Pentagon, possibly U.S. Special Operations Command. Given the obvious utility of such a weapon the latter seems more likely. EXACTO is an ideal weapon for long distance shooting in places such as northern Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan. It’s possible EXACTO, or some modernized version thereof, is in service right now somewhere around the world.
Cannon.
Gave a guy in town a great deal on a .270 Winchester deer gun...Killed a few deer with that rifle....but this kid needed a gun.
Bot a .308 lever action.....to replace that .270
I still have all of mine, but I’ll really miss them if the day comes when I have to lose them in a tragic boating accident.
I miss my Springfield Armory Omega 10mm. Bought it new, with the (at the time) full house Norma 200gr ammo. I had Winchester Silvertip hollow points. Boy, did that pistol shoot nice. When I sold it , ammo was hard to find for it, and when I did see it, it was more than I could afford.
Spanish FR-8... Just a cool rifle.
And a COP .357 Derringer. Thought I could replace it down the road and Haven’t seen one at a half decent price since.
P-08 Luger. Several. Almost 60 years ago. Winchester mod 70s two. 40 years ago.
I sold my Mossberg 500, wish I hadn’t, but now that you mentioned it, My gun sales were legal w/paperwork as well.
Bought another Springfield, a 9mm subcompact.
I used to have an H&K USC with rails, 4 mags, sling and EOTech holographic 1x sight. I sold it many years ago. Wish I would have kept it as it was great fun and definitely was a conversation starter.
Sell a gun? In my family those three words are never used together….those are family heirlooms!
“Early production S&W Model 686.”
Have one, love it. Tied for first place on shooting range at the police academy. Other guy was shooting a semi-auto. I have many guns but that one is still my favorite. I have a “don’t sell guns” policy.
Back in the ‘80s my Dad gave away three long guns to two of my cousins, on cousin got the Winchester lever action ( I don’t know the model), and the other cuz got the Browning Sweet 16 and the Arisaka that Dad brought home from Japan after the War. All I wanted was the Arisaka, my brother wanted the other two. All we ended up with were two bayonets for the Arisaka. Two of Dad’s sisters wanted those guns for their boys, and he did it to shut them up.
Nickel plated Colt Python with 6 inch barrel.
Also miss my Ruger .44 magnum semi auto carbine with factory peep sight and tube magazine. (The Ruger was actually stolen but the Python I stupidly sold)
Some years ago i traded a Beretta mini-Cougar .45 for a Kimber Solo. Dumbest thing I ever did with guns. The Beretta was too big to carry. The kimber turned out to be junk.
Ouch!
I’m still trying to buy both those guns back.
