My niece got married yesterday. This, being the age of the Internet, meant that the wedding was livestreamed via Facebook so we got to watch it. Since I knew how long it was going to take I decided to work on my Homesteading skills and make butter. I filled a large jar about halfway with whipping cream and did it the old fashioned way, shaking the jar during the 45 minute ceremony. I ended up with about 250 grams of butter, about as much as I would buy in a standard block at the market.

In other news my Tabasco plant is loaded with peppers. We are leaving for Belgium on Friday, 3 days in Bruges and 4 days in Brussels, and when we return I expect to see enough ripe peppers to start up a fresh batch of Tabasco sauce.

Awesome job on the butter! I haven't done that in ages! Is the cream from a Spanish cow? Does it taste different from an American cow?

Lovely peppers, as always!

This year I am growing 'Habanada' which is a Habanero type WITHOUT the heat. Going to make it into 'Cowboy Candy.' About 1/4 of them are bright orange, now.

Oshk! Nice butter! (What did you do with the Whey?) Was she in the Florida?

Questions: How is the Missus?
Will you be coming back from Brussels with Chocolate?
How long will you ferment your tabasco sauce?
(Do you still get an endorphin rush from your peppers? :)
