Florida businesses and governments that require proof of COVID-19 vaccination from customers or members of the public will soon face $5,000 fines, according to a new Department of Health rule.
Earlier this year, the Republican-led Florida Legislature passed a bill, SB 2006, banning businesses, governments and schools from requiring “vaccine passports” - essentially proof that people seeking their services have gotten a COVID-19 vaccine. In May, Gov. Ron DeSantis signed that bill into law. The legislation allowed the state’s Department of Health to issue fines “not to exceed $5,000 per violation.”
On Aug. 27, the department filed a rule that lays out how it will enforce the measure. Businesses, governments and schools will be fined $5,000 “per individual and separate violation,” the rule states. That’s the maximum penalty allowed by law.
Violators will be issued a notice of their infraction, and they’ll have a chance to appeal their fines, the rule says. Once a fine is finalized, entities will have 30 days to pay it.
The rule will go into effect Sept. 16.

The medical regulator says a 59-year-old woman from Queensland and a 54-year-old man from NSW have died after receiving the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, now known as Vaxzevria.
In a report released today, the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) said “since last week’s report, a further 9 reports of blood clots and low blood platelets have been assessed as confirmed or probable TTS [thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome] likely to be linked to the first dose of Vaxzevria (AstraZeneca).”...

***funny, I tried to access the DAEN’S page early today Australia time, where people say there are a lot of deaths noted, but it wouldn’t open for me.
We need DeSantis clones in every state in the union.
He’s got to be strong because some of the Dem mayors in Florida are trying to ignore state laws and create mini-surveillance states, and of course the teachers union is demanding mandatory masks and vaccine passports.
You’d think people in Florida would be happy to be free. The sad thing is that there are many who not only hate being free themselves, but really hate the fact that somebody around them might be free.
very disappointed in Greg Gutfeld today when one of his guests brought up vaccine deaths in US and he snapped back more than once that there hadn’t been any. sadly, the guest didn’t make it clear they are on the VAERS website; nor was the guest able to expand on “official” numbers of deaths for US and/or EU.
What about employers?
They should have done what was done with the ADA -allow the “victim” to sue and then they collect the $5,000.
That would put an end to real fast.
The cruise lines will sue and win that one.
And to think how close we came to having a crooked drug dealer street punk for governor.
Who was that?
Some you can have and some you can't have.
Gov’t RULES the RULES. Appears Gov’t works
for themselves. The populace elects them and
pays their wages.
So happy I live in Florida. Best governor evah.
Thank you. I moved out of FL 8 years ago, and haven’t been paying too close of attention.
Apparently, Gutless Gutfield didn’t want to offend his masters at FOX. Disgusting.
