Sorry I haven’t helped reporting. Somehow I volunteered yesterday to bring lunch to the noon meeting. So I made a hazelnut cake and gnocchi with bolognese sauce. Cooper didn’t even get his little walk this morning. Maybe this afternoon if it’s not too hot.

I can see now that trumps mission was likely to expose the corruption. Which might possibly have made it accelerate even faster. But if that was what God wanted him to do, I still don’t see what positive outcome there could be. Seems like we are stuck. Just praying fast!

Why is some guy questioning behind Stefanik name?
1) General Milley @thejointstaff keeps saying Afghanistan fell in 11 days. This is profoundly wrong. As I've documented, the final Taliban offensive began on May 1, more than 150 districts fell between then and Aug. 5, before the first provincial capital (Zaranj) fell. 11:04 AM · Sep 28, 2021
2) This matters because Milley & @CENTCOM McKenzie were downplaying the Taliban offensive over the summer. Either they were lying, or they didn't understand the gravity of the Taliban's offensive.
3) Saying that "Afghanistan fell in 11 days" is a cop out. It allows the generals to claim Afghanistan collapsed quickly and that it couldn't be predicted. It puts all the blame on the Afghans, and deflects the blame from the US from pulling the rug out from under the Afghans.
4) The Afghan government & military are not blameless here. But the US & NATO imposed a government and military on them that made them reliant on Western support. When the support was ripped away, the system collapsed. But this didn't occur over 11 days.
5) Additionally, the "Afghanistan collapsed in 11 days" mantra shields @POTUS, @StateDept & @DeptofDefense from criticism of getting Americans and Afghan allies out in a timely and orderly fashion. There were months to resolve these issues, not 11 days.
